Now, THIS comes ever-closer to the "KOSMIK BLUES" of old, as tho' one were floating round a dark blues-laden planet that just KEEPS it's grav-hold on your soul & won't let GO. I like the layers, & that lead just SMOKES once it comes on. This one gets a MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for bluesers who dig somethin' slightly different than th' norm!
|
 |
this is nice..has some elements of pink floyd to it and is mixed very well....a big clear soundscape.

Super vocals and love the guitar lead over the arps. Who does this remind me of -- Mahogany Rush?? Man, it's on the tip of my tongue. Another fine delivery and song. ~Blake

Love the Blues...you got hooked as soon as I heard it....very nice vocals...love the guitar work...yep a little allman brothers in there for sure but that why i like it......:) Thx, Bud

Excellent song Michael. absolutely my cup of tea, and the vocals are just superb.
GOOD ONE!

Good feeling, laid back with very nice instrument tones and very good vocals.
Great work.

Cool, dreamy, and bluesy tune....maybe a little Southern Rock influences? Excellent vocal style and I dig that guitar chord progression! Nice solo tone as well and full bass.

Got me in with the opening lead guitar salvo and then your vocals grabbed me and kept me captive. Thought the rhythm guitars could maybe have been panned a little further out but apart from that it's damn near perfect.

Excellent stuff, Michael! Love the guitar tones and style, and the vox fits like a glove.

 |
Nice dreamy feel to this song. Works very nicely, great job! Dig it! KB

Very Hendrix'y fell to the guitar playing on the rythym work. The leads at time have a blackmore tone and feel to them.
Great work!!
|
 |
I like the feel of this tune. Its got that laid back rhythm and solid vocals and some great guitar work. Reminded me a little of the Allman Bros

Oh this is very Gilmoresque....reminds me of No where out of here...top knotch vocals and guitar...a relly good production!!!

I'm not a particullar fan of Blues Music...no insider on the genre either.....Though this is a blues orientated tune...there's a nice overlap with heavy rock genre. The guitar work is outstanding....somehow I here overlaps with Mark Cloutier only your town is more mellow and has a nice round light overdriven tone with just the right amount of ambience ! Vocal are nice but I'm missing the pain and heartche that, according to the lyrics, seems to be going on !
Feeling Down and Out !!!! Excellent...but not too long please ! The world needs optimism !
Solid guitar work !!!!

Wonderful delivery...vocally, musically. A great blues based rock ballad where everything has been polished. Vocal a bit like Justin Hayward (moody blues) which is to say very good. Love the guitar and bass tones. Great drum recording. All is superb...congrats on one fine song! ~Blake

Yes its one of our own. Thank you for the nice comments.... 8)

Hi Michael,
Not too sure if this is your own or a cover but it sure sounds cool.
Love the laid back vocals, the souring guitar solos and the whole feel of it.
Carol.

Holy Crap ...... this is amazing ! Great GREAT vocals and the song is just beautiful !!!!
Sounds like Pink floyd met up with Led Zep. Great work on the vocals and texture of the song. The ending leads and slide are the best. I find myself drifting off every time I listened to this.
Im just amazed at this one.

Carol is really hard working with lyrics and she made it so so good. I also have a new song with her - a funny genre. This song has a great guitar playing and the vocals matches perfect. You have made a great job. Congrats to both! Really a pleasure to listen.
|
 |
Now this is a kick A$$ take...Mike you just let it all out and it works sooo well.
I'm getting a very heavy vibe, like a rocked out blues feel...love it man!!!!1
|
 |
This is cracking version Michael, a catchy rocker with stunning guitar playing, and great singing.
Of course I'm totally fine with you altering things slightly...especially as you've done such a grand job.
So glad the lyrics inspired you......many thanks.
Carol.x
PS Sounds fine to me, so if this Take 2 is the final version, please could you change the genre to the Challenge one, and also put it so I can download? ....but no worries of course if for some reason you don't want to.

 |
AWESOME PRODUCTION!!! Man, you ROCKED this OUT!!! This smokes, MIKE!!! GREAT JOB!!! Man....I gotta try to get a song together for this.....I wanted to do one, but with the PC crash, I lost time....YOU DID FANTASTIC!!!! LOVE IT!!!

Superb Idea, I heard a stompin blues idea when I was reading Carol's lyrics !
Man this is one nice stomp and has great energy and some great guitar work. I love the vocal harmonies you have going in there. THe guitar tone is just awesome and im a sucker for the Allman bros type slide work all through the song.
I cant wait to hear more.

Michael, this is a great take on Carol's lyrics. The initial guitar playing really grabbed my interest. Love the slide work on this track. Liked the change in the lyrics to add the "out dancing on the floor" Great rocking blues feel to the track. Great work.
Cheers
Brian

Damn near knocked me off my chair. Great tune and playing.

WOAH...Michael this is a real attention grabber. Mix and production are great but its the way you composed this that really shines. The arrangement is killer and where and how you played....priceless!
|
 |
Wow! Not what I was expecting.
I thought this would be a sombre track about some nasty storms... I didn't think your playing was going to be kicking up the storms!
Enjoyed this! I get the impression of you guys jammin', loving what you're playing (we do too, btw), and that love spurs you on to more great playing!

As all others have stated, great sound scape on this puppy.

Holy poop! This sucker grabbed my attention from the get-go. The guitar work is exceptional, and the way you change tones adds different textures to the different parts. Well done.

Really good guitar tones and playing! Nice use of space in between the lead parts. And the slide work is just excellent. Seems to be a lot going on way to the left including drums and bass and not much at all in the right channel? Was that a deliberate effect?
|
 |
Man,I am digging this groove. What a vast soundscape you have acheived here !
Love that lead tone, like a cross between Billy Gibbons & Jimmy Page.
Great track man,effing excellent !
Peace,
Tsargoth

I'm a fool for slide guitar. And I really love the ZZ Top-vibe I'm getting from this. Some incredible guitar on this. The vocals work quite well, and sit nicely in the mix. You've written a helluva song. A real anthemish groove to this.
Thanks for sharing your music!
Peace,
