Spooky intro, GREAT drum work, matched to perfection by the guitar & piano.
You have some superb ideas floating around on everything I've heard of your stuff.
The mark of a good mix is when you can listen into it and hear everything that's going on - this track exemplifies that - the separation between instruments is absolutely spot on.
This site inspires me whenever I get the time to pay a visit.

Another gem!!
Once again, the only realistic comparison I can make is with the late, great Frank Zappa.
The instrumentation is refreshingly clear and has a modern feel to it which is recorded really well.
It's so easy to overcook this stuff but you give each of the instruments space in which to breathe, and this separation means eveyr voice shines in its own right.
I could listen to this stuff for hours.

funnily enough my wife is a VIRGO and i had that image this morning while she was showering..oooh behave pete....
that ...mandolin? is epic...it starts off very quiet this song but very soon gets nice and stereophonic...like really nice jazz feel where you don't know where it is going but each surprise is a good one...live the pan pipe synth sound as wel...always gives me goosebummples
cheers
pete
not sure if i have heard this on nexus?

Yes indeed... You have such a tight grasp of concept.
Your use of percussion is marvelous...
I enjoy how your work progresses though modulation.
The 3/4 is used beautifully.
When a composer can differ from one piece to the next, this clearly shows me just how imaginative their minds are. But not only that, it's that they have the facility to extrapolate that imagination into sound.
I love your work Brian...It's very refreshing...
Edgard Varese once said in 1920...The present day composer refuses to die.
Meaning there are not enough composers who break free from the restraints of institutionalized musical composition.
You broke free...

Creative precussion is very pleasing to my ears and you've got it here Brian....along with some very interesting sound scapes...love the sound of the tom fills and apparent split stero effect used there.... a very patient piece especially with that character change at the 5 minute mark to the end! Well done!

Love ths intro.....the choir REALLY works well, with that percussive theme. Drums sound awesome. What's cool to me, is the feeling of King Crimson, yet not the sound. Your use of instrumentation is wild. MAN!!! I LOVE your music.

This is absolutely too cool. The whole thing is great. You need to come over and teach me how to do percussion like that, it's fabulous.

What a great sound you're getting, everything is so warm and real breathy. Some excellent playing, no matter how you did it.
from a sound quality view, this is one of the best I've heard.

Man you got some talent sir, I love this. Very much like something from Ray Lynch. Very nice compesition, the drum accents and other percussion is great. Nice peace of work, What boards were you using on this.

Intellegent drum programing a big part of this - the synth work shines as "live" in this - rather then leaving that paint-by-numbers feel of some constructions. I have no idea how much you play and how much you sample... and that's very very cool!

Very neat song -- it holds your attention as a listener, doesn't it? Mysterious piece, really. Lovely build-up.

Interesting work. Has an Oriental feel for me. Interesting use of percusion instruments against the synth. Excellent mix.

The drum programing in this composition is steller..Love the separation that is achieved with the sounds that are injected...the progressions (chord structure) add dynamics to the piece that give it an epic soundtrack quality...spaced perfectly to keep the listener honed in.
It's nice to hear a track that is derived from a percussionist's perpective....after all, The drummer's started all this anyways..lol.
Hey Brian..I hear your experience big time...Enjoyed very much!
This is very nice work! B.
