Wow that piano sounds great. There's somthing about a piano that sounds and is played just right. You really have that extra somthing as an artist
this is a great track. In my opinion.

This piece is probably too beautiful for words...
The lyrics are so moving...and they are presented with an authenticity and soulfullness that is impossible to resist.
Full of heart and soul, and performed to perfection...
Ahhh...may you be full of peace...

Oh yeah, thsi is top notch vocal work.
Brian did a grand job of harmonising, perfect contrast to the main vocal.
Once again, the song writing is flawless, beautifuly played and aranged, topped off nicely by some excellent lyrics.
Like Lex said, yes, this deserves radio airplay.
It "Feels" like a scene from a play....
A viginette....
Anyways,excellent all round.
Greatly enjoyed.
Nigel.

This is one of those songs that would be deemed "too long for radio play," and that's why radio is in its current dismal state. BEAUTIFUL all around. You found a winner with Sarah White, and you hit the daily double when you brought on Brian Ralston. Absolutely gorgeous work!

Thank you Mags, Alexis and Blake, but so sorry I forgot to mention that the lovely female vocals aren'r mine, but a girl called Sarah White. I'd actually love to have a voice like Sarah's!
Brian, well what can I say?
The song always sounded nice I guess, but for years was missing something to complete it. The addition of your lovely harmonies were the missing key, and they were very sensitively done. (what a shame it was only the basic song with Sarah which was played at my daughter's wedding, but they enjoyed it)
Can't thank you enough....
I hope you enjoyed the recent wedding over there and yes, it was lovely to meet you as well in Sydney. (the only people I've met in person are yourself, Will in Dallas, and Dawn Diamond who came down from Scotland)
The girls and James are all fine and send you best wishes.
(when it's done, I REALLY look forward to hearing the funny co-write you're doing with me about the workman in the bank!)
Cheers,

Hi Carol,
Didn't realise you had posted this here. This was one of the most enjoyable collabs I've been involved in. I knew the background to the song, which I loved the first time I'd heard it. I got to meet the "bride and groom" and the writer in person in Sydney. And I got to "duet" with a sensational female singer. When I first heard this track on mixposure I wanted to do a duet on it. I am a big fan of Jack Bruce, the bass player and vocalist from, amongst other projects, Cream. He did a duet with a singer whose name I can't recall (I think it's Maggie.....forgive me a senior's moment) called "Ships in the Night" in the 80s. This song really brought that song to mind. I remember thinking when I first heard "Ships in the Night" that Jack, who was never averse to getting into a blue with Ginger Baker, was really deferring to a female vocalist who obviously touched him. The song was not his niche genre and he seemed to enjoy taking a bit of a back step to let his fellow vocalist shine. I hope I showed the same deference here.
A beautiful song. Ironically, I've found it here tonight, having travelled 5 hours to watch my son perform "best man" duties at a wedding. It was a lovely ceremony but I'm now thinking....should have offered them this song.
Carol is a great friend, and so far, the only member of an OMD site that I'm on that I've met in person. It was a great honour to be part of this beautiful track.
Cheers
Brian

Well, it's really apparent you've got alot inside you and it's just beautiful to hear some of those things. Terrific words, harmony, song..wow. Your voice with Brian's is just awesome. I too love his voice and now I believe this is the first I've heard yours Carol. Wow! Nice powerful stuff...and this surely would fit so well into a musical...exactly as is. ~Blake

Very good lyrics and superb vocals for this moving and touching song.
The duo with Selftort is particulary beautiful. Your 2 voices are so complementing and so wonderfully well working together.
Fine production as well.
This is a pure gem of song !

Gorgeous. Powerful. Nice. I read the "about" description, but have to say this would make a great contemporary Christian tune that be interpreted as a praise tune, or a very personal love song.
Super ...

This is great. Vocals are fantastic. I get a Broadway musical feel from this.
Great job!
