Well, I had to come and hear this when I saw the same song title as my wildlife charity song/video. This really rocks with that cool riff right from the start, and has a big live sound to it. Wonderful changes, great solos and superb vocals. You guys are working really well together, you sounds like a band that have been together for years as your styles all blend so well together.
Excellent work from everyone involved!!

Way back in the 70's they would have probably called this a Super Group.Or so I am told...
I think someone ought to blow the dust off that label and polish it so it could be used for you guys...Shining...the Holy Fire is burning...

Hey guys nice roadhouse blues boogie! Great vocals and lyric work Brian! Gary, I like the up front, slightly driven solo. The tone must be coming from the new Peavey Delta Blues amp, good sound. Cool organ DrC! Great collab. guys, nice and tight! It brings to mind the phrase "I woke up this mornin' and got myself a beer", lol! Enjoyed it!

Well written tune guys!

Hey Gary and Doc and those who have listened to this track. Sorry I've been absent of late.....have some personal family issues that are taking most of my time these days.
But I've got to say that I am loving collabing with Doc and Gary. There seems to be some sense of sympatico going on. When Gary sent the backing track I got the focus for the lyrics on the first run through....sorry it took a while to flush them out fully.
This makes three tracks that I am really proud to have been involved with and hope we can get a full CD of similar quality in the foreseeable future.
Cheers
Brian

Jezus....what a awsome track ! Haunting driving rythmtrack...Man...well written....is this build preset pattern edit based..or is it written from scratch ?...this takes a lot of work ! Guitar work is absolutely top rate...the arrangement shows great musicanship ! Synthwork love it....though that organ seemed to have a comic touch...made me laugh...probably intended that way ? Very impressed by this sophisticated creative progrock epos !
Btw Gary ! You should check out my fellow dutchman Jan Meul....think you will like him !

Whoaa horses! This is fantastic. What pleasing energy it generates. You guys are so skilled at your instruments. The organ thing at about 2 min. seemed to almost make me laugh. It was a nice contrast to the high energy intensity of this song.
Wow.

This track demonstrates true musicianship- Excellent musicianship. It always happens that i am most delighted when Gary's leads come in. good taste in lead playing. Doc C's playing is very strong. Leaves a person feeling that Doc is a seasoned - un touchable keyboard wizard. Like Kerry Livgren !!! (do you know who that is??)
You guys together remind me alot of Kansas work.
At 3.20 - the lead guitar sequence that Gary plays, is so sublime - exquisite. I love the lead there. Now to be a little negative,, aspects of this composition are so aggressive that - i would not class this as 'easy listening'. There, that's as negative as i can get regarding this tracki.
awesaome work !!
|
 |
What a piece of work this is. I'm trying to think who came up with the original idea. It smacks more of the Doc to me, but I could be wrong. I said on a previous site that you guys were a marriage made in heaven and I have heard nothing to make me change my mind. This is just exceptional. The interplay between the guitar and the keys is out of this world. Too much happening to explain. It's a case of "just listen". Taken the d/l. Thanks guys
Cheers

Gary & Doc C... this is so cool... straight at ya hard and skilled with wonderful sounds. Drums and bass rock... guitar is great... Doc.. your keyboard sound taste is superb especially the organ work !!! Talent abounds guys... love this!

What a wonderful piece of classic rock, performed by two of my favourite artists. Drums are excellent, Gary. Bri-an's voice is very distinctive and works perfectly in this context. Love the crunch in the rhythm guitar. The choral sounding backing vocals are a great touch too. Lovely guitar work in the solo. Added to favs.

Excellent composition Gary. The bass and drums are just so solid, you have more than a strong backing to play with. Your guitar work is just a joy to listen to!!!!
|
 |
Beautifully written... man, you put this one together so well, Gary. Love the bass/drum groove, great vibe and gives you a lot of room to dazzle us with your incredible guitarwork. What I like the most about this, the way you've structured this song, is that it really has a nice pulse, it's able to breathe, and you didn't track a bunch of unneccesary stuff into the mix to clutter it up. Another classic for you collection!
Peace,
Jim

Very well conceived collab. Lots of tension and interest building throughout. Congrats on the great emotional perormance from you both. I have to say that Gary's guitar solo was what pushes this over the top. Nigel, you set him up with your fantastic, brooding vocals ... WOW!!! Two of my favorite musicians! Thanks for the download.

Slow to kick in but then those drums are so crisp !
Mr.Potter on vocals......dreamy.
Synths creating quite some atmospheric.Guitar dark and gritty progresions nicely done and performed immacualtely.
Powerful song and Nigels vocals are soaring here ....touch of the echo treatment working so so well.
Solo coming in:nicely done.
A very solid track.
