Henry is in a class of his own. He is unique in both his vocal delivery and his songwriting. He constantly pushes the boundaries of the musical genre, and in many ways, has reinvented the style. There is only one Henry Correy in my opinion. Nobody does it like him!

Yes this is the blues and that deep, deep bass tone just oozes fullness!
Great vocals and that guitar has that "just turn up that Fender tube amp" sound and forget the effects. Nice and natural!

Always a treat to hear your blues. You have a wonderful consistency in your music which I really dig, and each one always captures something unique in their own right; it blues but it's all you Henry. Great to find much inspiration from you. Great vocals & I enjoy the guitar phrasing alot. (wish I could sing;- I can sound like a blackbluesman, but I won't)
This has fine lyrics with an excellent accompanying guitar artistry. The band is top notch. The arrangement is excellent. GREAT PRODUCTION Henry.
-Your Canuk blues fan & friend. -Vesa.

YEAH HEnry,
first: I love your distinctive voice - made for this kind of blues music. Again that deep, deep groovy feelings I had listening to this tune. Guitar is TOP NOTCH and that song gets all from your bass lines to produce that wonderful atmosphere.
Henry you the real Blues Man - refreshment for my ears. First class (as always) - Love it.

Nobody does blues like you do, Henry. You should be proud of this one - it has everything that makes the blues such a popular and beloved genre for so many people. The bass and lead guitars shine here like thay should in any good blues. And the vox are so heartfelt and passionate. Well done! Top marks.
|
 |
Henry,
Love this kind of slow cooked blues. Your vox are perfect for this genre. I'm never disappointed when I listen to your music. Of course the licks are dripping. Great job on this Henry.

Your presentation of that sad,sad blues is stellar!! HEnry that song lives fom your distinctive voice. I feel your heart beat and your deepest emotions. GREAT. Guitar work as always is brilliant and the sound carpet of your bass playing -hmmm wonderful. You and your band play the blues as we love to hear that kind of music : in honesty, without any scoll and deep from your soul. And you got it!! My compliments to that great blues musician Henry Correy!!

Panning on the guitars really makes for some really sweet ear candy in the headphones. Some good "love gone wrong" blues with a great performance.

This song is a lightning bolt...pure energy and a joy to listen to...there's humour in it too...when you woman runs of with another man...or worse another woman....That killed me...happened to my neighbour a couple of years ago...

I've yet to hear one of your songs I didn't like Henry. Got to catch you live sometime when I'm down your way. Some great guitarwork here. That's Frank? I guess Tim didn't end up playing on the album?

This is sooooo good. Love that dreamy, bendy guitar in the background. The solo work is exceptional. I can picture some cat, sitting in a smokey bar, ash tray overflowing with butts, and a half-full tumbler of whisky sitting in front of him. I can feel the pain, brother.

If I'd have to be a prisoner, I think I'd choose to be a PRISONER OF DESIRE. If I had to choose the song I'd sing to the "cell out" crowd, this would be the one. As always, fine guitar playing and singing - and songwriting that fits the theme and mood perfectly.
|
 |
great intro, oh this really good. vocals are outstanding as is the guitar playing.
The tone on the bass is killer and very tastefully played.
