Ian...
It is a pleasure to listen to you outside of the seniors enviroment, where I had always read all yuor thoughts on production etcetera, but due to the hostility of the seniors, always stayed quiet, content to read.
This is a beautifuly polished song mate.
From the gentle opening to the whole band sound kicking.
Each instrument given it's room and crystal clear.
Excellent piano work I must say,and the lead is likewise.
But I think what draws me most is the overall feel and sound of the piece.
It feels fresh,alive,vibrant.
Each element has been given all it needs to work, and as is so often the case, hard work really does pay off.
The second lead section, where power and sustain is given to the guitar, simply flies.
Beautiful tone and a feeling fo working towards a creshendo, with those synth arps just suddenly appearing, that was a touch of brilliance IMHO.
Then the subtlest of releases as the guitar kind of just ever so slightly relaxed, and then the song slid effortlessly into the mellow.
Nice touches of FX as well by the way.
Bass drum telling of a higher peak to be climbed, and the guitar and bass in this end section is beautiful, nice to hear the bass being used to add that extra punch, that extra level of sound.
The last sustaining note was simply perfect.
And in conclusion,I don't believe I have heard a better song for a LONG time mate,that was....perfection.
Hats off to a REAL composer.
Nigel.

Wow, I dig this. Great command of the guitar and the nuance of tone. The background and production is great. Totally professional.

You were kind enough to grace my page Ian. I'm returning the favor.
My son's name is Ian by the way...I always liked it...
Not that you need the favor returned. Powerful song indeed.
Piano and guitar compliment each other well. Both voices speak clearly to each other...
Very nice indeed...

I love this track. Your guitar soars effortlessly above a solid bed of understated yet ever so tasteful bass and drums. The piano is definetly a nice counter to your guitar playing.
Congratulation on a nice track!

Piano sounds excellent. Killer guitar tone and playing to suit the song! Drums and bass drive the whole thing along nicely. Very enjoyable indeed.

Hey Ian;
Just have to love that piano; ever so brilliant and vibrant; and still mellow. Cool addition and contrast with the soaring guitar at the start. Great rock progression; most tasteful arranging and overall sound. Love the production. Very well placed instruments, working well together. A solid fave piece of music. Well done. Superb.
Thanks for the fave tune...and again that piano is so well played as is the guitar.

Perfection -- I could listen to this one over and over and over and ...
Well, you get MY "drift"! Well, done. I love the power and feel more than anything. That guitar is almost pleading ...

Ok Ian....you've got me hooked with your 2nd tune. Emotional and beautiful song architecture that flows, man it flows! As a songwriter/producer and a novice engineer I'm going to say I see no flaws at all with your production job either. The song captures me. I love the piano and guitar interplay. Impressive my friend...all the way around!!!!!!!!

I´VE GOT SAY, I LISTENED TO YOUR FIRST TUNE, AND WASN?T IMPRESSED AT ALL. SOUNDED LIKE YOUR GUITAR WAS OUT OF TUNE. BUT THIS TUNE IS GREAT. SIMPLE, BUT BEAUTIFUL PIANO MELODY, AND THE GUITAR IS SMOKIN ON THIS. NICE USE OF THE ARPEGGIO SYNTH AS WELL, AND THE DRUMS AND BASS ARE SIMPLE AND SOLID AND DRIVE IT ALONG NICELY. MIX AND PRODUCTION ARE PRETTY GOOD. I´M THINKING THE PIANO MIGHT BE A TOUCH TOO LOUD, IT DOMINATES OVER THE ENTIRE TRACK. BUT IT IS THE MAIN MELODY, SO MAYBE YOU WANT IT THAT WAY?!
ANYWAY, NICE TRACK.
