Love the darkness, power and mesmerizing heavy rhythm. The spoken vox and guitar fills fit perfectly. And the approach to the blues... well, actually this is not a blues, this is not even a blues on steroids - this is maybe what a blues will sound like in the 23rd century if the stars align right and if the right musicians are born. Great work, gentlemen!

This could be a film track...it's a brooding mooding feel; can see the motorbikes comein after you on the highway...with you having a half hour lead. Take her with you. Cool vocals as always. Wailing guitar makes this a darker haunting appeal, two good guitars...yeah kinda bluesy alright, well told story, fine synth, nifty strings, sweeping sounds... and like the percussion. Unique piece...Mark is great at following any type of genre...this is your own...no need to pin you to anything; just plain Great!! Your friend. -Vesa. Fine chemistry.

Wonderfully dark and brooding piece of music. You've done a great job with the backing track, Jim. It's tight but still has a sense of looseness about it, if that makes sense. Just the right instrumentation to get the mood across. Love the laid-back but yet theatrical nature of the vocals. Mark's playing some lovely lead lines too that fit in really well with the mood of the track. Excellent balance on the mix and quality production. Great stuff. Cheers Brian

Yes, there are Pink Floyd influences in the lead guitar but you have your own style and I like it! The sound is really good and your voice too. Great song, thanks! :) Laurent

now this is a cool piece of music. Jim really digs in here with the instrumentation.. keeping it on the edge of raw but still powerfull and huge! The spoken word against this ultra cool groove is certainly fitting for this tune. At times Pink FLoyd comes creeping thru. but its still JIM!! great stuff man.. you know i am a fan!!

Hi Jim and Mark. This has a cool lose nature about it, feels comfortable. Dig the big heavy hits with Mark riffin around them. Great bluesy style vocal Jim, "Workin for the Man" fits so well. Yep, liked the downtempo feel of this, good job guys..

Mark has established himself as a blues guitarist of the first order. Here, he slows it down enough for older ears to catch every note and leaves enough space for your vocals to breathe a whole new dimension into the song. Excellent work by both of you gentlemen!

Jim --- This is the most non-standard blues I have ever heard, and I love it. I love it when someone says, "Oh, I don't like the blues. It all sounds the same." Ha! They need to hear this. No 12-bar anything here. The tempo, delivery, etc., is way outside the box, but it still drips "blues." The lyrics do tell it all with a raw-nerve edge and honesty. Great collab, on a most unique song. Good job. Paul

Jim and MarkC, Workin' For The Man (Mark Cloutier On Lead Guitar) is a blues song that gets down to the nitty gritty through your lyrics, voice, instrumental backing and Mark's guitar leads. I enjoy the way that even for a slower tempo, this rocks...quite a good flavour and feel. Nice to hear another great collaboration of talented musicians bringing out the best in each other. Cheers, ZEST

It's been too long since I heard you voice Jim!! This has got a real brooding feel to it that just pulls you along. It's not just the tone of your voice that works so well, it's your timing as well - absolutely spot on. Mark's guitar is Claptonesque in places (reminds me of Clapton on Roger Water's Pros & Cons of Hitchiking)- just the right guitar fills, fitting in in all the right places. Paul

Hey Jim, this has a neat atmosphere that is unique to the 'Leo Kottke' style of playing; love it...this is so pleasant and you're doing it your special way with some added cool touches/sounds. SUPERB pickin' -into my fave roots. You're very versatile Jim...wonderful to hear this. The soft synth overlapping adds more warmth; clever idea. Love that unexpected tempo change - neat arrangement-like a horse bolting out of a gate. A bit country fast playing. Well performed. EXCELLENT. A fave it is. Thanks good friend. -Vesa

Jim Rustemeyer, WIP For Rob Grant is a beautiful and meaningful instrumental for a great man in Rob Grant. I remember reading what happened to Rob, and the scary time he was going through. I'm certain that Rob must have recovered a lot faster because of this piece. The guitar playing is wonderful !!!! I imagine the softness of it all brought a sense of ease and peace when Rob and family gathered around to listen to this. You have the gift of healing through the resonance of your music and personality. Worth listening to many, many times because there's so many nuances that can't be garnered with just one listen. I like the details and inflections throughout this track. AWESOME !!!! Cheers, ZEST

You make a very technical [and hard guitar] part sound so fluid and simple. I appreciate it is not. Only something which comes from the heart flows like this. I did not even suspect the change coming in at the ending. Wow that's good.

JimDad!!! Ya syumped me with this.......I LOVED THIS THEME!!! I found it VERY CHILLING......it was a little eerie and a bit cheery......I just couldn't imagine who it was. The thing I really liked was the change from acoustic to an almost ambient feel. When I finally got my list in order, I was ROCKED!!! I have been wanting to tell you, but not quite as fast as I wanted.......Your acoustic path is AWESOME and the way you mixed the electronic is SO YOU.....you STILL maintain my name for you...MR. CREATIVITY !! AWESOME IDEAS and EXCELLENT JOB, DAD!!! Rob

What an interesting production on this one, Jim! Love the drums, and the guitar with slick slapback on it is just so sparkling and fresh! Love the energy and open feel to the song. The rather sinister voiceover gives the piece a dark overall tone to mostly joyous explosions of guitar mayhem. Fun and foreboding, at the same time! Loverly! SFAM / NG

Couldn't leave Jim without checking that icon..lol, that girl? made me nervous and sweaty. ya!! heavy duty, I've heard this one before, not sure if you did a remix, its sounding great. Some top notch git riffin going on here to and that big heavy change really stomps. More of your imaginative and conceptual writing, you really have a knack of using your vox style to tell short stories..I enjoy them, more great work and this one is groovin good.

Jim Rustemeyer, Kickin' and Screamin' really shows your ability to construct a song that really punctuates your songwriting, performance and arraingement talents. The guitars are smoking...probably the cause of the fire engine sirens...:) Interesting use of the "megaphone" style vocals. Gives the overall sound a streetscape feel. Being that I'm from the city, you have captured one element of what it's all about, Kickin' and Screamin'!!!! Thank you for bringing your music to us all. Food for thought, and an enjoyable trip !!!! Bag of attitude and a wall of sound. Some of the best guitar I have heard you play Jim. The narration is excellent LOL..... This really is a rock number, witha twist. It's sound is classic rock, but the writing is taking it off at right angles... It could so easily have been justa rock number, butit grew into something far more exotic. Some nice bass work as well Jim. Humour, power and just a touch of darkness. Excellent. Nigel

Jim Rustemeyer and Steve Page, In Every Corner (With Emocion)is a song that combines the talents of 2 great musical artists bringing the listener great sounds and feel. I like the key you have chosen for this song, kind of deep and dark...yet, upligting at the same time. There's sounds in this that really tickle the ears. There are a lot of great details you two have put together here. The transitions really take me to different places...including..the corner of my mind.... Great collaboration !!!! Peace, ZEST
