This piece commemorates the time when at 22 yrs old I was living alone in a shack without running water that was about three times the size of my car.Being broke I was subsisting mostly on freshly caught native brook trout and Daylilies.
"Modern Man" 1999 Six vocal tunes, Five with band, one solo w/guitar; Six Clawhammer style banjo instrumentals, with guitar, fiddle and bass accompaniment; and four guitar instrumentals; two w/overdubs, two solos. All tunes are original and the work is an eclectic folk/rock/Americana effort. Traditional and contemporary sounding in equal doses. Humorous songs ,serious picking. The idea behind the work is an appreciation of old time values while being open to the value of "Modern" concepts and feelings.
