Hauntingly beautiful, this is like a shroud that wraps itself around the listener..The simple guitar weeps slowly...I really can feel pain in this gorgeously, melancholly piece...Wonderful... Peace n love mags

IF i did not know better, id say i played that opening guitar part. I play those cords in a improv tune with some guys, that starts like that. Very nice Vibe! The lead work is SUPER! Great listen man! Enjoyed it. DACE>

Michael, this is a great track...lots of feeling and passion in your playing. its a sad melody, one I can relate to because I've been there. Mix and production are both excellent.

Your pain is my pleasure....just kidding....In the pain was very pleasing...kinda reminded me of the way a Loratab and shot of whiskey creep up on ya....guitar flows nicely through this...

i REALLY lOVE the playing you've done here. !!! very well phrased . -- - i'm a fan of this Michael. With such nice melodic progression- the guitar is the singer. This needs to be re-worked, mainly with regard to the guitar tone. Just gotta round that off a bit and re-master !! -- this a keeper. !

I must admit that I normally don't have enough patience for instrumental pieces (especially lengthy ones) but I do like your work a lot. You always create enough variations to keep listeners attracted like this one here. Great work.

Nice! It reminds me a little of Genesis... Really nice guitar work. The tune is laid out really nice: smooth chord bed. Yeah: excellent playing and a great sound!

tunez (30 May 2008 07:13 PM)
Nice tune- could be worked up into a cool dynamic number. I can hear it slower & pulled back even more although your guitar playing drives this version along nicely. Wish you uploaded a different mix, the sound quality destroys the mood & character. Catchy 1960's retro rock vibe though.

Love the progressions of this tune...classic but not overly guessable. Excellent song structure and arranging. This is superbly performed in all respects and with a most fantastic balance of sound colors...piano, guitar tone, drums, bass. Really, quite impressive! Kudos!! ~Blake

Im logging a second exclamation mark !!! . because before moving on to other stuff- i just wanted nothing more than to hears this again. - For me -- there are several gorgeous aspects here. The Melody and timing of the lead,, and theres a splendid mettalic tone in the gtr- that's not knew though , ive heard there in alot of The DEEP stuff,, but mayber never as well pronounced as here. But also ,, the delay, -- great setting man!!- to my ears , this does not sound too fxy. It sounds really really likable. whew-

Michael,, this ranks right at the top in my music senses. Your lead work ,, is absolutely splendid here. GREAT SOUND !! You gotta do some of this kind a sound for The DEEP. -seriously- that's a stunning lead style and sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rokit

Good piece all around. The backing is very musical, and the playing is melodic, memorable, and soaring. Great note selection and phrasing. This is a Money tune! It will be on my mp3 player by the end of the day. :)

Angels of the Moon ! Ya'know I dig the moon, almost as much as I enjoy this tune. :-) The great feelings, passions and joys of creating something to be proud of,is what we all try to do..........In the end, when we reach someone,anyone.........everyone ,we've(YOU) can be proud that we've spent endless hours perfecting what we hold dear to our Hearts. This makes it all worthwhile......!! Thanks for sharing ! Larry T..........*****

Some really nice melodic guitar playing. I like the tone but it does have a lot of fizzy noise attached to it. you may be able to notch that out with some EQ.

Definite Floyd feel with those keys and stellar guitar sounds. Man this is some sweet playing. Love that bass line as well. You know if you backed the solos out a bit you could put some tasty vocals on here. Then add the solos back in around the vox. Would be a great tune!

Ya had me right from the harp ... this is soft, sultry, smooth, mellow, and edgy, all at the same time ... there certainly are some blues masters on this site - and you're shoulder-to-shoulder with them, so you can recognize 'em quicker than I can. Most enjoyable listening.

I am digging the progression and the song. Great melody and some vocals would work well on here. The only problem I have is the mix on here. I am hearing some hiss on the track. If you turn it up it is very noticeable. If you can clean up the mix this song would be exceptional.

Some extra good playing here. I'm listening on headphones and don't know why but I am always a bit put off by guitar solos that are panned fully to one side. Probably on speakers it would sound fine. Doesn't seem to have bothered anyone else so that's just my problem. :) As mentioned by many the bass is great too.

I have to agree with Sherz in that the song needs something to break the repetiveness of this track. I mean, there is a lot of good stuff in here -- love the bass, the piano, and so on ... but not when it's doing the same thing ovger and over and over for 2 1/2 or 3 minutes or so.
User Image
sixstringthing (07 Jan 2008 08:37 PM)
MSB, The song is good. I enjoyed it. You show some good chops and playing ability. You also have a good mix on the recording of the song.
User Image
Sherz (07 Jan 2008 07:12 PM)
To be honest I felt like I was stuck in an infinite loop... nice playing but was just far too repetitive and relentless for my tastes. I was hoping for some different colors to appear on the canvas, perhaps a change of pace and direction too.

I'm liking this one as much as any of your work with The Deep. Good melodic lead guitar line, great tone. Really like the almost-drone effect of the piano playing that chord over and over.hypnotic. Peace, Tsargoth

Alright man, you can play! You got me right from the first note. Nice bluesy track, excellent feel from you and cool chops too. As I'm a guitar player, I think you should crank the volume in the mix! (typical guitarist lol). I can hear a bit of Gary Moore in your playing mixed in with a few others. Anyway, great stuff.
