I HATE YOU! Cause your so young and so good, and you probably don't even have to work that hard at it. I'm 50, been playing since high school and really work hard at it and I won't live long enough to play as well as I'd like. Envy aside you've got major talent, a good ear for tone, you can shred, but trust me your meat and potatoes is your touch and feel. Think about it, you hardly ever her Gilmour play a 16th note, hell an 8th for that matter. You have an exceptional ear for tone. I hear some good variety but it all stands up real well. Love to hear about your rig, your recording setup - the whole nine. Really nailed the ole slow pagey blooze thang. 20 something huh? No offence, but I hope you're representative of your generation getting some taste in music. Sorry, that's the Dad in me, just kinda slipped out. Good on ya dude. Keep it up. Stay away from all the bad stuff your Mom & Dad always warned you about. Make tons of money and have a great life. Just post some more of that slow blooze schtuff here before fame & fortune comes a knockin'.
Cheers,

Wow! Ohhhh, nice! It is especially notable that, on a site with so many decent players focusing on blues progressions, which may get a LITTLE repetitive, I have listened to this whole cut of Ode at least twice. GREAT timing, expressiveness, and fluidity. Just goes to show all of us that a spare background is the best for showcasing the electric blues guitar.
From Bow, WA, keep it up!

Mike: As someone who has been around 47 years and as your northwest neighbor, I've got to say, you're are a smokin' and tasty guitarist. That's a winning combination. A combination that made Jimmy page, Ronnie Montrose SRV, Johnny Winter, Billy Gibbons, Jimmy Hendrix, Neil Schon and all the most noted guitarists great and I hear at least two of those influences in your playing. Great job so far and like Dazed, I also expect great things from you. My only advise to a young and up and coming guitarist like you is, no matter how far up the ladder you go, please stay humble and remember where you came from. I love Saying Goodbye, by the way!

Mike you have only been here a short time but after listening to a few of your songs, I have to say I expect great things from you. Your playing is impressive and your solos have a melodic sense that is lacking in too many players in my humble opinion.
Glad you found your way over here!!
