Lovely tune. The tempo change a minute in, is effective as are the key changes later in the song. The melody is memorable and nostalgic. Shivers down the spine! Really enjoyed this song. cheers, Richard

Mike , your music seems to have it's own unique style. Once a person knows waht to expect generally , i feel that your music can be fully enjoyed and appreciated.
I'm always struck with the huge similarity your vocal has with Art garfunkle's solo work. When my wife gets back from France i plan to show her your songs- im sure she will love it very much. As for me i appreciate your music and enjoy hearing it.
This song, A Mother's prayer, strikes me very much as the same sound that is typical of your work. that's a good thing. I like this track-
I guess the main point is that i have come to listen , and thus have experienced this song youve made, and i would like to put together a CD of your songs to have handy for playing on those occassions when this will be perfect for what we would like to listen to -
all the best shane

Soft and tender, just like those little children mothers tend to night and day. May they all be strengthened by "A Mother's Prayer." You couldn't have picked better music or a better vocal style to present this prayer, Mike.

My favorite treatment - a sad story with a mellow melody. The music does its job, but as those before me have observed, your vocals steal the spotlight here - and deservedly so. Smooth tune!
Vocals are GREAT!!! The song is very catchy and it has a nice Bright Morning appeal to it......It's a Happy Song. The orchestration is arranged very nicely and the ending solo is very tasteful....Nice melody. Great listen...... :-) The title fits PERFECTLY!!!!

Your vocal totally makes this . I love this track,, but wouldnt have thought much if it was just the music- but the quality in your vocal makes it stand up as track worth having,, and playing many many times. --shane

Sage advice in a sweet song. Comfortably couched in those pretty keyboards, your vocals deliver this gentle guidance with loving care.
A nice lesson in Life for danby....Lyrics are very touching......sung with great emotion and I loved the accent. The song is very pretty, loved the choir fade out ending........This is one of my Faves from you....GREAT SONG!!!, Mike :-)

Sweet new age mood, the song and your performance reminds me a bit of Art Garfunkel ways - wonderful emotional depth, well done!

Very lightheated easy going Alterative..the vocals make it that way...you have matched the outputs (emotionaly and musically to carry this straight through....although,if it's intentional
...everything seems held back..and for this delivery, i can understand it to be important to you...to have such a relaxed resolve.(not so easy to do..huh?) the vocals are sung with content...and very well. enjoyed. b.

Mincer, thanks for stopping by. You're right about the harmony problem. I instantly remixed it removing two layers of compressed chorus and I think it now sounds a bit better.
Nice complete song-I liked the solo improv synth/flute in the middle a lot. I thought the harmonizing of the vocal may have been used a bit too much though. But I liked it overall.

This has to be one of the most unique pieces of music I've heard in a long while. I liked the arrangement, the vocals kind of glided over a very good backing. This is different but very good. Well done

Wonderful uplifting melody on this. The picture and title made me think, as I guess it was meant to, of a journey to the stars. Really beautiful sound.

Dreamy, an assault on the senses, very tasteful and well produced...it was a pleasure for my ears...good job, keep up the good work.......cheers

It's been said by those before me - this is one gorgeous song. The fine melody seems a bit repetitious, but that is exactly what the title, Incessant Rain," calls for. The piano work is perfect, and the vocals fit the lyrics nicely. I do agree that your singing is certainly strong enough to stand without as much use of effects. Overall, you captured the sound and sense of what you were after here, and you did it in style.
The piano lines are really nice. Some really sweet chord changes from which you've extraceted a warm sweet melody. Personally I'd like to hear your voice with less effect. I'm losing the lyrics in the echo/delay. And from what I can hear it's a voice with a timbre that fits this song perfectly. Beautifully written song. Congrats.
Cheers

Beautiful piano atmosphere and sax bits, a bit mediterranian melancholy with a toch of Art Garfunkel.
nicely arranged track Mike, You do very well with these slow ballads leaning towards love songs
Your vocals are done very well. like Joe said earlier it develops quite nicely ending strong.
Very nice song, The backing was cleverly crafted. The vocal line was nicely performed. Only thing that spoiled it for me was the midi sax. As previously mentioned. A real sax would make this a brilliant piece of work. Well done
The piano line is very good, so much you can do with it. You colored it nicely with some backing strings and not over done. You vocals took me a bit to get used to, I kept thinking Cat Stevens which isn't by no means a bad thing. I enjoyed the piece.

Like the tune Mike. Piano sounds great and nice touch of keys(sax?) as well. A real sax on those parts would sound remarkable! The vocal harmonies sound great.
Nice job on the lyrics!
like the title mike.. lots of metaphors there.. meloncholy though expected..
every story has part that makes you cry.. that's brilliant mike.. a really soulful
love ballad.. it developes very nicely and i like it more at the end than the beginning..
very emotional and soulful man.. cheers..

Hi Mike, nice floaty atmosphere to this one, nice tune too. :) For my peronal tastes I think you've over done the FX on the vocal, it's smearing things somewhat and it's hard to pick out the lyric as a result. You could try more pre-delay on the reverb if you prefer to keep it as is.
Also I think the choice of reverb exaggerates the sibilantssss too. You could try EQ/de-ess but in case like this I often it's better manually edit the vocal track and deal to them that way.
Nice song.
:)

Nice mix. I agree about the normalizing of the vocal it cleans up about 40 sec into the song. I'm hearing a fairly hard 's' in the work. try cuttinf 5600htz 3 db and clean that up. Excellent guitar opener. Good Job.
Regards
John

Hey Mike, you're getting a great drum sound and a real clear mix.
I like the melody and the vocal treatment...real airy.
Good song and the drums sound great! Production is top notch as is the lyric but I think the vocal is a bit low until the song gets going, then they seem fine. Enjoyed the listen!

Mike this is a pretty cool tune, the rhythm, drums and bass are really tight and punchy and theres a nice pop style melody going on . Great job on the vocals.
Very clean recording and production. Good pop-construction - which I know you were going for this time.
Nice opening and very pleasant vocals. Harmony is top notch. the background canvass you've painted seems well planned out and sounds very full. Very tasty bridge. Simple, to the point and melodic. Production is very clean and everything sounds balanced to perfection. Great job my friend. Enjoyed it from start to end!!!!

Well , wow,, i do think that your vocal really is the make of this trake now. I know my wife will love it, because you sound so very much like Art Garfunkle in his solo work-- and she love's his albums. Me,, i enjoy your sound here alot too. personally i really think your vocal makes this track stand TALL ... !!!
