Excellent, don't hear this kind of prog since ELP disappeared. I've tried, but can't put it together like you can! Great construction and sounds! I love anything with changing time signatures and feel. You should be proud of this one!!

WOW, WELCOME TO THE 70īS!!!!!!!!!!! :) THIS IS TOTAL 70īS FUSION ROCK ALA GENESIS, ELP, DEEP PURPLE, ETC. VERY NICELY DONE. :) I HEARD A LOT OF THIS KIND OF MUSIC FROM MY DAD AND OLDER BROTHER. ALWAYS LOVED THE FUSION ROCK, JAZZ ROCK, AND BASICALLY ALL FUSION MUSIC. YOUR PRODUCTION LEVELS ARE PRETTY GOOD. BIG SOUND, I LIKE THAT. I WOULD BRING THE DRUMS UP A BIT IN THE MIX, ITīS A BIT KEYBOARD TOP HEAVY, BUT THEN AGAIN, YOUīRE A KEYBOARD PLAYER, AND THATīS HOW YOU PROBABLY HEAR IT. :) LOL VERY NICE TRACK. REALLY ENJOYED IT. THANKS FOR THE GREAT REVIEW. GLAD YOU LIKED MY MODERN BEAT AND SONG SNIPPETS. IīLL BE BACK TO LISTEN AND REVIEW MORE, BECAUSE I LIKE THIS KIND OF STUFF. :)

Wow, thanks so much for piling on guys! (you too Leeta!) I really apprecaite the kind comments of support! It means more to me than it probably should! :) ReaperSG - Glad to meet you. I love how you take a deep interest in your review material and really look under the carpet for the soul of the song. You can expect to see my ugly mug over at your place soon, to return the favor! Thank you. Leeta - (does anyone else ever find themselves singing Lovely Leeta meter maid...?) I really never had any vision of ELP while working on this one, but I love the compliment! On my song Early Warning I DID hear the link and hammed it up just a bit in that direction. :) But I'm really trying to create a unique sound all my own - must try harder... must escape past impressions... must work double shifts in studio! :) Thevi - Thanks so much for the cool comparisons, so honored to be in such fine company! And I'm trying not to put flute in EVERY damned song! But glad to hear you like that passage. Be seeing you at your place soon. Thanks again! SFAM / NG

TOT is a great SciFi prog song! It never gets dull, and thats because of loads of variation and great use of sounds. ELP meets Purple meets Dream Theater meets SciFi! The woodwinds/piano part are my favorite part of this song!! And the organ offcourse!!

Thanks FP. Yes, all the art work is my own. Hmmm, now you've put at a loss - I was planning on uploading different art (more hi-tech abstract), but now I'm not sure what to do! Hehe, problems, problems! Thanks again! SFAM / NG

I can't believe I'm not having to wade through the reviews on this song....this was the sound I grew up to....I used to spend months listening to Wakemans...journey to the center....and Tarkus.....those being my 2 faves for key players....really dig this groove......a lot!!!

I had to check and see if reviewed this yet, cause I've already heard it a few times. Luckily, I hadn't reviewed it yet over here, in the New Place. Epic, totally epic... huge mix, thoughtfully placed instruments, great transitions, sweeping flourishes of keys, great tempo changes. Larry Fast should've done this one, while at a hootenany with Keith Emerson, but they didn't, and you did. And that is very cool! Peace, Jim

That great Keith E feel. Another one in the Tarkus/Trilogy vein. Wonderfully written and performed from one end to the other. Great sounds and sound quality too. Kudos SFAM! ~Blake

Thank you Rob so much. I really appreciate your input on helping me decide which version to pick at the end. This song really came out almost exactly as I had envisioned it - which doesn't always happen for me. It's a very personal song, that really expresses the complex emotions I feel about life's great adventures, or at least part of the way I feel. I guees my more firey songs are another part too! :) Thanks for dropping by and spreading some cheer! SFAM / NG

I gotta totally agree with the word "magestic," which this certainly is, and mighty darn melodic as well. You write so well. This is arranged intelligently, with alot of precision, but still has a great "live" quality, particularly with the drums. The production, as I've come to expect, is crisp and alive. Nice tune! Thanks for sharing your music! Peace, Jim

A majestic theme I absolutely love, built with some great and epic sounds. A bombastic theme gets the motor running. Then the change in part 2 communicates a new imagery, and a great counter-melody is built and allowed to develop with a classical bolero elegance. A dramtic ending tops this song off in fine fashion. It's a thoughtful masterpiece, and most definitely one of my favorites from this top-notch artist. This should be listened to several times to appreciate all the song elements. Wow! ~Blake

Man, You write some really great songs, so far they all stand with the best progressive rock I've heard over the years, bands like Kansas, ELP, Styx, Yes...you know where I'm going. I will listen to all of your songs because I like the style that much.

TCP (16 Jul 2008 01:58 PM)
Yes...the first one! Incredible magestic melody right from the gate - very memorable and satisfying. Love the 3:40 ELPish change with awesome KB playing, then to about 5:15 where serenity and lush atmospherics overtake. Beautifully conceived, and then at 6:30 a quick transition to another theme at about 7:00. Traditional classical lines abound and again the melody is very distinct and allowed to fully blossom and morph to grand scale prior to the 10:30 finish line. Wow SFAM..... This is just an exquisite piece. Majestic, memorable, and so finely linked with great classical form..this fantastic adventure cannot go out of style. It is SO obvious alot of thought went it to this thoroughly intelligent design (considering the title - no pun intended). Love the movements, love the melodies, the sound, playing, transitions....it's all great. You really have this whole thing buttoned down. The flow from movement to movement is great with alot of cool transitional work. A gorgeous piece I wish I had written. And your performance is so wonderful here. AWESOME my friend!!! And thanks for the DL ;-)~Blake

Rhythmically aggressive and intensely purposeful. The themes are distinct and the transitions have wonder transitional chords. Hell, the song is loaded with great progressions. I was thinking of Peter Gabriel mid-career here quite strongly. THIS SONG IS ADDICTIVE!! Another favorite from a wonderful artist. Wow Again!! ~Blake

Absolutly beautiful work here. The selection of voices used were good and the synth vocals worked well. Overall I really like this one but would have liked to have heard the drums and bass kick in sometime later in the track to add power and bring it home. Well Done
