Atmosphere and tasteful, modern mix balance blow me away. So delightful this power of expression, the ballad ambience reminds me almost of acts like Conjure One, plus your true songwriter's skills. Beautiful guitars and bass variations. Great guide vocal, perfect placement in front, awesome dynamics, fine orchestration and yearning background vocals... I wish nothing less and nothing more of a deep song. Another favorite of mine.

Great lyrics Nigel! I love the minimalist approach to your acoustic rock. Very smooth and flowing. Impeccably performed and recorded. The arrangement is moving and eerie. Great job!

This is captivating in true Nigel Potter style. The orchestration at the end is excellent and fits perfectly. You've got a really punchy production on this too, everything is nice and clear, but as always, it's all about the songwriting.

Blame it on the poor bus service .
Uh hum:humour aside this song is very very nice the bass lead in is fabulous Nigel and that understated guitar that plays alongside is also very nice too.
Best vocals I've heard from you in a long time :such a great sound/clarity to them.I think thats aided by the pad thats constant as a backdrop for the vocals.
Wordsmithery is top notch as always from you : its a much more "mood" piece with a powerful underflow to it.
And that title is a true gem.
I've hit the woh woh part : superb a suspense being drawn before the strings come a calling : not the climatic guitar solo that most may have expected. You are becoming adept with those synth parts now Nigel. Its sometimes the under stated that leaves the strongest mark you know and this tune shows that.
Beautifully done.

Nigel, again, the songwriting is center stage. Your lyrics, always top notch, reach new height on this one. You accomplish so much in a single song, it continues to amaze and delight me. I always learn something when I hear you music.
Thanks for sharing your music with us,Nigel!

Wait, wait! One more thing I need to say, Nigel, about the way your lyrics hold me. I'd just like to say that you have a way of reaching deep inside of me, and exposing my vulnerabilities. It's not a bad thing-- it's actually good to bring those things to surface. In a way, your songs are very theraputic. But the way I'd like to describe them in one word-- MAGIC.

Oh, btw, this sounds like a sequel to "Where the Angels Fell,". I hear a few bits of similarity, but actually very different in composition. That's really cool-- loved that song too-- very much!

I dunno buddy, but if you're an acquired taste, I acquired it from the first time I heard a song by you. The writing is so meaningful: I just fall into your lyrics. And the music is stellar, my friend-- always. Your humbleness astounds me-- could it be that you don't realize yourself? Perhaps so, but please know that you have a great fan base here amoung us!! We all think the world of you as a person-- and your music is at the top of our lists!

Nigel, I've grown to love your music, my friend. I heard one of your tunes last night and it really hit me how much your vocals 'speak' to me. This song is no exception. A fusion of angst, mystery but always with hope ...
Again, a vocal delivery that goes under my skin, accompanied by wonderful, ambient - yet, progressive guitars and synths. How wonderful! :-)
Cheers
Heinz.

Nigel - your compositional skills are extraordinary. When coupled with the strength of charecter of your vocal performances, only greatness can result.
The themes you embrace are captivating. This is an excellent track. The lyrics move the soul...and the way you "frame" the theme and lyrics is stimulating - to heart and soul.
You are a unique voice - as it should be for anyone that writes and performs with the heart and soul that you do.
This is just stunning Nigel. Congratulations: another wonderful piece.
Excellent...

always a class act Nigel. fantastic lyrics and vocals. The high harmonies on the chorus are a fantastic addition. Instrument wise I love the strings. They bring such a wonderful feel to this tune.
Great job Nigel. Another classic :)

you got me again Nigel! Yeah...: ) All is flowing so well, the rhythm with the drums and bass, the melody and the voice, the perfect guitar playing, those strings and the chords together complimenting each other in a brilliant way.

Desolete feel right off...i believe the C# & D# gives it that egde..it was very unexpected and incredibilly effective. Topped off with the lyrically hope you emerse yourself in...delivered with such content...you make it sound easy to reach down and let it out.
The highlight was the distant unanswered crys and the perfectly placed orchestration in the outro...Damn, you had me in the 1st eight....why not just seal the deal with string werk like that!! lol...excellent nigel.

The intro is wonderful. Thats bass line and the background voice -hoo what an atmosphere. When your voice starts it givees me a feeling like sitting in a big cathedral -- make me gooseflesh. Perfect composition - what a melody, what a voice!!! Nigel you've heard it so often: a gem and masterpiece of music.
Greetings from Erik

hmm, singing in riddles...I think thats the beauty in the way you put lineage to music or the other way around. It would be interesting to know what circumstances guide the order in which it happens.

like the bass leading this intro.. it's sultry man.. a more urban flaovr than i'm used to with you mate.. and indeed the bass kind of leads this rhythmically.. not reggae but a certain spice.. a bit of genesis maybe?.. just a another shade of nigel.. your vocals have become instantly recognizable and your lyrics legendary.. each new song is another perspective.. another view from you the aritist.. you do a masterful job each time of capturing the essence of a song my friend..
and this mix ain't half bad mate.. lol.. great song brother nigel.. :-)

Great Nigel! You really have the mood setting....mix and arrangement...skills mastered. The repeating violins (strings) are an excellent choice and placement to keep the listener involved. The lyric is dark and meaningful in what ever fashion the listener chooses to define them and that's a good skill to have in songwriting. Well done on the vox and song!

I'm liking this simple but effective beat Nigel. light dusting of that pad falls around me. The vocal here is just excellent man, along with the chorus vocal. Hey thats a great touch with the string riff, kind of fills the mood of wanting. Your lyrics are all so riveting and meaningfull, its the special part of your music Nigel. I put myself into this song and could honestly feel a coldness through my body as I reached out. The vox at the end was, its hard to describe what I was feeling, sombre track that carries a huge emotional jarring. Great Track Nigel!!
