Great performance and production. Very impressive work indeed. I'll be back for more.

I really like this. From the crunch guitar loop to the keyboard melody line, it slowly drags you in. The recording is beautiful like all your stuff, arrangement is top notch.
Great stuff

Hey I can see my text! woohoo! {jumps up and down}
Di this is a solid jam and great production. Guitar tone is awesome. I always seem to gravitate to the guitars. The keys I liked but there is one high pitch section that was ringing my ears a bit but it was short lived.
Like the tune!
|
 |
wow , very cool groove and a fantastic dynamic. The guitar are rocks, the hard drums line are in contrast to the nice melody, very great. wonderful work.

Straight to my fav.

I agree with Alexis - This sounds like one of those killer tunes from a soundtrack to a movie. You know the slow-motion segment where they're showing the hero with all of his resolve before he steps into the arena for the final conflict...
Very well done!
|
 |
Great piece of music ! Loved the guitarwork and the big sound.
Great work

This was a GIANT TUNE over at Mixposure ... it's a GIANT TUNE here ... and it'll be a GIANT TUNE wherever it is heard. DICARLO puts the "D" in DRUMMER, and then we have the RedEyeC hot guitar work to bathe us in licks. Of course, it's all faithfully rendered in the superb production work from OMM. Top scores, gentlemen!
|
 |
Joe is that you on drums? oh my RedEyeC is flying on this one. great playing, great production
and a huge soundscape.
|

Ooops!!! Sorry......still figuring my way around........DICARLO..EXCELLENT Production and performances :-)

HEY DICARLO!!............Found ya..and had to check out your music. This is an awesome track. I really didn't realize you played....I thought you were primarily an engineer.
Alexis can really master any jazz style..........as this is another great sounding track. Man!! He should have worked with Weather Report....
Rob

Alexis - You are a skilled Musician. There were times in that tune where it sounded like you were right on the edgte, but never out of control, or in danger.
Standing O for that performance. Very enjoyable listen!

MISSION TO MARS have historical space mood, which underline - this song is ideal for cozmic trip in any time and on any planet ! "Must Have" for all cosmonauts! I think it will be amazingly "friendly" to have it in many movies too! Excellent work ! DIC , I am sure You planned to use it as background on Yor private trip on Mars. I know, all the stars sing together , when You play it on , on Your spaceship!

excellent synth work in this one, it IS like being on a journey thru the stars.

Hey DICARLO, this is percussive-electronic excellence. I am REALLY liking this song. The theme melody is very nice and flowing, over a deiving precussion. LOVED that change around 2:30 and the burst back to the theme was niiiiiiiiiiiice!!! GREAT JOB, Sir!!
Rob

A very nice collection of sounds all mixed to perfection. This is cool DI, I got a tune with the same name but I use the Italian words La Casa Di Viaggo for mine. this one is done to your usual very high standards!

tasty drum work Di. solo is rippin!
|
 |
Like it Di mang.
Especially the heavy kick section ....ankle jarring stuff.
This kinda thang really goes down a storm in a live venue as you must surely know.
U may wanna get yourself some kinda metronome to help with the timekeeping though
( joking mate its grea stuff )
Sly

Ahh yes , I remember this from a while back. Love the FACT that indeed you can hit the acoustic tubs with alot of power and control..
Need to hear ALOT more of this Acoustic stuff on yer toons..Nothing can challenge the live input of real tubs!
Harder to do?... of course it is!
Sound better? ... OF COURSE IT DOES!
With the talent that you obviously have... taking the acoustic drum recordings to the next level would be a challenge perfect for the D mang.
smoke me with some more!!!
great playing Bro!
|
 |
DICARLO my man, you're kickin it big time! Excellent sound on every skin and metal hit.
The balance is there too. What a cool listen for me, it ain't often that we get to hear
pure percussion in these parts. Thanks for sharing bro!!!!
|
 |
Hey, thanks for putting this one up . Nice just to hear the kit sing once in awhile.
This one sounds like a pretty good airobic work out too.
Ah , it's great when you can get paid to bang on stuff huh?
Good hands man.

Some sweet blues. Nice playing. The standout for me was the piano.
|
 |
WOW This is some fine playing and performing! Di the sound is great, seem like the balance was there for all the instruments, nothing overpowers. I'll steal a phrase from one who I respect alot
"You made it sound like a band" really diggin the live vibe, the real feel, the live blues!
|
 |
For this to be a live mono recording, you did a heck of a job on the production man !
Like the atmosphere of this one;you can tell these are seasoned vets just by listening to the performance.Vocals are excellent, nice, thick, and with that smoky live blues feel embedded in them.Excellent work D.
Peace,
Tsargoth

HEY, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GREAT REVIEWS!!!! :)
I´M GLAD YOU ENJOYED THIS. :)
WE HAD A LOT OF FUN PERFORMING IT. :)
AND YES, RAMANI IS A GREAT BASS PLAYER AND A GREAT GUY TOO. HE´S A GOOD FRIEND, AND MY FAVOURITE BASS PLAYER TO WORK WITH.
HE´S ALWAYS MY FIRST CALL!!! :) BUT I THINK IT WAS ME THAT DRANK THE EXPRESSO THAT DAY, BECAUSE I ALWAYS TEND TO PLAY LIKE I´M A FORMULA 1 DRIVER!!! :) LOL
RAMANI EVEN SAID I WAS KICKIN HIS BUTT WITH THAT TEMPO!!! :) LOL
THE INTRO; YEAH, THAT´S OUR MR. SHOW OFF VOCALIST CRAIG BURTON, WHO SHOULD JUST SHUT UP AND SING SOMETIMES!!!! :) LOL
I MAY EDIT THAT WHOLE INTRO SECTION, BECAUSE THE SONG IS 20 MINUTES LONG ON THE NORMAL VERSION!!! LOL
THE GUY THAT SOUNDS LIKE JAMES BROWN IS TROY AFFLICK, WHO MADE A GUEST APPEARANCE WITH US ON TWO SONGS THAT DAY. HE´S A GREAT SINGER!!! :)
THANKS AGAIN.
PEACE,
DICARLO

Hot band! The vocals did have a little James Brown about them.
|
 |
The intro stuff almost made me skip it ... glad I didn't ... the song moves like a hungry snake on speed. SNAP-ZAP heart attack. The bass player clearly had a gallon of espresso right before this set (G) . I prob would have mixed the vocal a tiny bit back and let the drum come thru more - so - that's a complement right?
Cool tune for my morning - great change of pace... and now I need a nap (g) -

As always your mixing and mastering is excellent. Did this have a James Brown groove or what.?? That must have been an outstanding band to be a member of,and listen too. Great musicians ALL. You were layin' down a sweet beat,,,,,I almost felt like the brass section had a hard time keepin' up with you. Great Track. !!!!

Nice groove. I know you had fun playing this one.
|
 |
I don't get the opening part, it didn't do anything for me. However once the music kicked in I got into the groove, very good sound. I was hearing the big band funk sound of the late sixties such as Tom Jones band. I think the music performance is fantstic but I would look at what the opening was all about.

This sounds great and it started out as a stereo recording of a live performance....all i can say is WOW, the initial mix with the balance and sound levels must have been pretty good to work with. Theres a great blend of the instruments and a tight rhythm ...excellent stuff DI!!!
