Love the sound humming through my good headsets...sweet lovely acoustic fills my realm...with such a fine vocals, tone and range, that you have. Very nice;indeed. Really like the lyrics; well thought through. Neat melodic feel. Fine sounds work so well in this to surround your singing and I must say the addition of a lovely lady's harmonies makes this even sweeter. You have an interesting diacotomy here- subtle hearing something unusual contrasting in the background--"the battle lines are drawn" a lovely song but enveloped in a world of madness, like the symbolizm of the helicopter, at the right sound level, so as not to take your beautiful positive music too far out of reach...the endng speaks for itself. Well arranged. A real fave. Very clever, creative tune. Bravo. You did an amazing tune. EXCELLENT. Cheers Richard. Love it. Into my faves. -Vesa.

Ah,was keen to hear how this turned out :) You have sucha natural way in front of the mike Richard. You get that one on one quality going, where there is just the listener and the artist. Beautiful instrumentation and arangement. But without doubt the vocals are the star for me. Completely natural. Beautiful song. Nigel.

That guitar is really beautiful. When the vocal slips in it`s just so very natural sounding...no strain in there...This has an easy, familiar sound that fits so comfortably...Is it any wonder I`m adding this to my favs.:-) Peace n love Mags :-)

this is a beautiful track. its got a great "i'm always on the move" feel. the guitar comes out really well, and I like your exploration of the drums. i'm a singer myself, so I really like the lyrics, especially "the same old story plays out in the darkness." good job, for sure.

Back for more. Love the chord changes here. Your vocal delivery is top-notch, but I am not sure why you covered it in effects; it is so wonderful on its own. Harmonies are sweetly done. I can't speak about the telephone effect as we did it in our "Blue Horizon", but it doesn't seem to mix with the crisp, clear instrumentation. Nonetheless, despite my misgivings, you have a wonderful tune here.

I was just about to put up my "Love and Lies" done by Dusty Drake, but I think I'll just listen to your beautiful song a few more times. Mighty fine guitar playing and even better vocals - a winner all around.

Nice tune richard. The vocals are very good and the arrangement is excellent. None of the instruments takes over too much and ultimately the song benefits.

Love And Lies Wow : acoustic gem for sure, strummed to perfection and the vocal is also so damned good. When the track comes in fully the song breathes:little touches that make the whole thing sound so full. Okay so the production is a little weak sounding what this does is showcase a songwriting skill that is clearly of a high standard. The spoken vocal part midway through comes across as too loud agianst the rest of the track. Overall though a great song . Sly

Yes, this is a really fine song-- and I love everything about it--'cept the phone part. Simple, peaceful, sweet and straight forward-- this is a fabulous easy-listening tune. I agree too, with the folksinger/songwriter feel. Maybe even Bread, a little. Very nice, Rich. Gina

Nice acoustic sound. This reminds me of a cross between Simon/Garfunkle and the folk singer songwriters of the 70... Jim Croche, Don McLean. It's nice to hear some simple straight forward music. Nice work.

Beautiful seems to sum this up nicely. acoustic sounds fantastic. mix sounds great. Vocals fit nicely. I seriously wonder how this song would sound with some strings. Kind of reminds me of a James Taylor style song. Nicely done!

Wow, what a stellar piece of writing and performance. I'm put in mind of Paul Simon, not that you sound like him, or that the song sounds like his material. It's more the way that you seem to be able make the song a "full package". It's not a singer playing a song, and playing a guitar. It's a total package. That probably doesn't make sense, but I know what I mean. Absolutely captivating voice and lovely guitar work and arrangement. I'm not as anti- the phone bit as some others, but there does seem to be a big volume jump at that section. But I could listen to this song for hours. Just beautiful. New fav. Cheers Brian

Hi Richard, I was truly taken all round with this lovely song and vocals up until the 2 min. mark. When the loud voice kicked in, I wasn't really sure what was happening. You have a great voice and the song is good in essence so please don't be offended that I say what's on my mind. I'm sure going to watch out for any new stuff you upload because I feel one of these days you'll blow me away with something. Carol.

There's no hiding behind a mask or dancing around the subject here. This song gets right to it and stays with it to the beautiful end. This could be part of an elegant dance or skating routine; it has that stately air about it. Fine work!

I love pieces like this where the mixture of instruments blends into a kind ephemeral interplay that kind coax many different impressions. Like standing in an opening up in the mountains. You hear and smell changing catches of things. This music is like that.

You get some beautiful sounds from your instruments, and as with your other tune, lovely layering. There is much happening, but it is not overwhelming. I am not sure of the title. I see a loverly heather covered hillside, a gentle breeze blowing through the hair of a child who holds a flower in her hand, the sun gently warming her face. Thanks for giving me the impetus for the image.

Another beautiful piece of work fromyou Richard. Very lyrical and melodic instrumental. I was captivated by your voice in Love and Lies and have to be honest was disappointed that I didn't hear it here. I'm not saying that you should turn this into a song. I think it works as a beautiful instrumental track. But your voice is outstanding so don't leave it off too many tracks. Lovely lilting feel to it with somehow oriental overtones. Just gorgeous. Cheers Brian

There is something about your compositions that just quietly say:"Class" Even if I'm wrong, there is no hiding their quality,in writing, playing and production. Wouldn't suprise me to find out you have written for a good many artists through the years. Mate, solid gold class. Disappointed this has recieved so FEW reviews!!! It deserves a LOT more! Class. Ah,yes, very different indeed. Has a euro feel... Very mucha european radio track IMHO... Very nice atmosphere and hook to it. The vocals add a nice touch of colour,I love the tone of them especially in the quiter sections.... Yep,the more I listened the more I warmed to it. Very cool percussion and like the guitar playing. Cool efx. kind of spacey...the bass pumps along to move this tune; good vocals & cosmic harmonies. Fine tempo and mood change with the terrestial efx. I enjoy the stereo panning and break up of the sounds delivering into both sides of my headphones. Very original tune. Like the production work. FAB!! -Your friend. -Vesa.

Ah a collab Richard :) Saladin's voice is very rich in tone, certainly suiting this down to the ground... Very nice subtle arangement. Nice acoustic solo as well, not over stated, leaving the vocal as the star, and that is the real trick for any composer,to stay in the background and do all the hard work. Excellent Richard and Saladin Nigel.
