Song Name: FOOL - with Stu & Richard John

I expected Elvis to pop up when listening to "FOOL"! :) I like the fancy sounds in there like the bumble-bee keyboard sound. It's the type of track you expect to hear in a smoke laden club way after midnight. Very relaxed athmosphere. :)

Interesting melody flow with psychedelic vocals. Love the guitars at around 1:40. Very good piece of jazzy blues music. I envy thick voice Sal as mine is relatively weak. Cheers.

This is heady downtempo stuff, dig the crying synth. I like the way your mixes put you in the room. Hey stu, you old dog..how are ya. Cool your on the standup again, sounds great. Nice little lead break, brought a different sound in. The darkroom boys, is there a tip cup?..lol. fun track, enjoyed

I like this right from the beginning. It's different.. I can hear this in one of those movies set back in the 50's... the night club scene. cool stuff and a cool collab!!!!

Enjoyed contributing to this one, Sal. Great vox, very cool melody and your trademark mysterious, experimental sound is as original as ever. Creative synths and the bass, Stu, was perfect!
Cheers

Theres a real visual thing that happens listening to this track. I see the band and the singer, great up close mix. I like how the guitar chops kind of wig out a bit, its that beatnik touch. very cool vox to.
damn this song is sexy as hell!
i'm sorry i don't know what she is sayin, but this is smokin sexy!
Dark smoke filled room with a sexy voice...now thats very inviting to my ears..just love the atmosphere created here..very underground sound. nice!!
Cool stuff and a good collaboration in this typical Saladin's creation. I don't know Spanish so I really can't comment on the lyrics here but Hinda does have a sexy voice. You folks should do more music together.

Hi...Thanks for the invitation...There are so much uploads and songs here...might have missed this one.Very happy I didn't...I wish I could say what this song does to me like the one and only Vesa can...But I can't...Just...wonderful tension between the spoken word...what a voice....and the flowing music that's crossing genres some of the time...and that's the kind of approach to music I like very much... Beautiful...

Hiya Sal. nice piece, great rhythm line simple guitar work. But you can tell your sister from me her vocals are excellent. Made the number for me well done

Right from the first note I was struck nicely by the feeling. I knew this would be a unique tune & it certainly is. Love that sultry lovely female vocal, and the percussion does so well on this, -and a cool keyboard addition with a melodic that's infectiously tasty--the percussives move it along nifty well; fine guitar playing- laid back & as well a subtle bass with a fun-ky feel. Latin bound but there is a interesting fusion happening here. The motion of this song makes me sway like the warm breeze flowing through the palm trees and on over the water floating away. Most original piece. Very relaxing. You got me so relaxed and altered, this is now a fave tune going into my site.
EXCELLENT artistry. -Vesa (Thanks for the heads up).

Love what you've done with this song Sal. It's laid back, uncluttered and flows beautifully. The Spanish vocal by Hinda is perfect for the song, very cool and mysterious.
Cheers

Another very cool and distinctive track. Even in its 50 second length it managed to be catchy and memorable (with some great chord changes) A full length version would be great (although you may need to change the name!)
Cheers

Infectious riff and skillful use of synth. Upbeat, funny and very original. A real spontaneous feel. Another great track!

The beginning instrumentation reminds me also of the 80's, specifically Split Enz and, strange as it may sound, PiL (Johnny Rotten's post Sex Pistols band). Quirky, fun, and catchy.
Coooool.

Saladin, this is pretty cool and with a very good beat. I would suggest to add an instrumental bridge in the middle to both lengthen and strengthen the song although I know you like to keep things brief.
As for the other two songs "Shape" & "Good Night", I prefer the latter. Both are decent effort no doubt.
Just gave this a listen and thought it was quite cool. This will stay in my head for some time now!!
Sal, this is too cool, I like the mood you create in this short but effective track.
Don't know about silly tune. I personally think you have the building blocks for a creative piece here

Great track. Cool and mysterious. The simple, haunting keyboard/ synth line is perfect over the distorted guitar, Nice chord progression and the usual, fine, enigmatic vocals. Very, very good!

Mellow groove this one. Lou Reed kind of vibe. Melodie kind off sticks, I'm still hearing it after the song is done. Thats a good thing.

Bad idea to leave a contest, but thanks for compliments. If you really like this one, it could be a serious criteria for future collaborations, why not ?
Beautiful ! Very enigmatic atmosphere you've created ...that arrangement is so refreshing...Thought crossed my mind to enter this competition here....But after hearing this gem...I'll leave it up to the real talented people

Tu est certainement un des artistes que j'ai entendu ici qui ont un propre style....cette sensibilité artistique, elle, n'est pas donnée à tous.

Saladin, thanks for the head up. You have a nice way around the acoustic, carefully jumping over the genric pitfall . Nice little franco melody. You got mail.

This was a pretty unusual tune. I have no idea what it is about...but it provokes lots of feelings, nevertheless. kewl slide work. I'd love to hear more in the 6k-20k range...the mix is a tad dull...but you may have been intentionally going for that...so maybe I should just say...nice job here!
Hugs...Mike (NAV)

This does have a haunting atmosphere. A dark, whirling, dreamlike fairground comes to mind. Wonderful rich melody and fine vocals. About to listen for the 3rd time!

wonderful emotion in your vocal - and a very cool blend of tones behind it.
It has a dream like feel. Clever use of slide.
I just found out what it was about your vox, (aside from the Bowie and Reed similarities that I like)that I like so much......you are from France, It's your French accent. It really comes thru in this song. I find the feel of the song very expressive. I love the string orchestration. The production is very clean and the arrangement is very good. GREAT JOB!!!

Song Name: DEAD END v2.2 with Jasmine...of course

This is something that really works: Jasmine's vocals and your instrumentation/production. A touch of SADE, jazzy bar music. I like it and enjoyed it, thanks! Diego
There's a tension between Jasmine's way of signing and the band...She's sings like she's holding back a bit...and the guitar part isn't....It might work better if you exchange one of the guitar parts for a Fender Rhodes...But that's just me...and who the F am I...Annyway...great to hear two very talented people work together...BPB

Liked this, to me you managed to produce what sounds like a recording of a live 60's jazz piece. You did a nice job well done

A really nice fusion. The vocals remind me of Lisa Loeb with her mix of breathy, but note solid style. I listened to the hifi version, and for me, the bass washed out some of the other instruments just a touch, but over all a very solid tune! I like it.
This is a new alternate mix of the now famous Jasmine's Tea " Dead End" (music and lyrics by her).
Some of you may have heard a previous collaboration version last week. These ere two examples of what we do on our little network Kryptic MusiK Ltd(www.krypticltd.ning.com)
For this opus, I just kept her vocal, and I played a bass, a drumkit and two electric guitars. The aim was to emulate a four piece combo. I hope it has something of the live vibe...
