Yet another side of Self Tort - "jaunty" as SciFiArtMan aptly put it. "A Paris Tale" that could take place anywhere in our corrupt world. Well-written, well-performed, well-produced, and well-mastered, a well-told tale all around. Another sock-cessful undertaking.

Another Self Tort masterpiece.
Love Rapsters piece...fit so nicely. Vocals are stellar - the whole track is beyond excellent!
GREAT work Brian!

I don't know if anyone else has used the word jaunty for this song, but that's what I feel! I fantastic blend of light-hearted humor and dark intensity. I'm so impressed with the versitility of your voice! Cool mix of styles and moods leave the listener with the feeling of having been on a most interesting and unique adventure! Whew, good work all!

Hi Brian, how are you doing?
Hey, this one sounds great!
Beautiful production (well... DiCarlo made an excellent work) and the song sounds very solid and with the right energy...
Great collaboration, loved the Rapster insert, then the guitar solo (beautiful sound and playing style).
Voice amazing, absolutely! Great sound and interpretation, top notch for sure!
The song has got a beautiful development and the melodic line is so captivating and flows so nicely... original outro!
My very congrats, I really liked it.
And thanks for the download, mate.
Cheers, Corrado :)

What an awesome collab from Brian and Joey ; )) Especially liked the melody - the vocals (verses and refrs) are exceptional! I've said it many times, I'll say it again - Brian's the king of lyrics - and with Joey on board...wow... I hear the "Rapster" influence at around 2:20 - this really shows the power of a collab - two minds are better than one - and in this song's case, genious! Cheers, Bob

Truly imaginative and quirky. The tight, folk rock vibe is infectious.

Hiya tort,,- admirable work here bro. Your singing is doing great here. And Rapster, your vox are top top grade here. The timing is spot in in your rap - at least feels perfect to me. -
There is a strong commercial mainstream kind of feel to this.

Great song with wonderful lyrics in the pure Selftort writing signature.
Excellent vocals and very nice choice of instruments for this very original tune.
The rap part adds much to the tune and the mastering of my friend Dicarlo just brings the "FULL MAGICAL PEPS" to this song.
Beautiful production indeed and great work by all involved !
Congrats !

Man, I LOVED that little rap section, the drums are perfect, HECK!! ALL instruments are PERFECT!!! GUYS!!! Simply put......I LOVE THIS TRACK!!!

Gentlemen, you should be proud of this work. It's a masterpiece. One of the very best songs I've heard in a long time. That musette style accompaniment is a knockout! To say nothing of everything else.

This is simply awesome...all around class by some classy musicions...just goes to show what can happen when theres a musical bond. Brian and Joe exquisite performance by you both and DI added his magic to take it up there...yeah THERE!!!

Great song and listen Brian! The story is humorous and sad at the same time. Poor Jaques and damn Government! The vocal delivery really tells the tale and Rapster's rap (good one Joe)is the ticket to get the whole story in! DiCarlo's mastering sounds most fine to me!
Enjoyed it. Farrell

AH, GLAD TO HEAR YOU WERE HAPPY WITH THE MASTER!!!!!!:) IT SOUNDED GREAT HERE!!!!!!!!! :)
ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER.:) THATīS GREAT!!!! :) THATīS WHAT MY BUSINESS HAS BEEN BUILT ON.
NOW ABOUT THE SONG;
FIRST OFF, ITīS A GREAT SONG WITH AN EXCELLENT STORY LINE. WHERE DO YOU COME UP WITH THESE STORIES, THEYīRE GREAT!!!! :)
SECONDLY, GREAT CHOICE OF INSTRUMENTS, SOUNDS, GREAT PLAYING, AND KILLER VOCALS. I LOVE THE DRUMS IN THIS, AND THE MELODY LINES. NICE GUITAR SOLO WITH VERY GOOD TONE AS WELL. AND RAPPIīS TWO RAP SECTIONS REALLY ADDED TO THE SONG. I LIKE THE MEGAPHONE TYPE EFFECT ON THE RAP NEAR THE END. VERY COOL. ;)
THIRDLY, THE MIX WAS VERY GOOD TO BEGIN WITH, WHICH MADE MY JOB A LOT EASIER. BECAUSE, THE BETTER THE MIX, THE BETTER THE MASTER!!!!! :)
ITīS ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO WORK ON YOUR TUNES BRO.
I HAVE THE FEELING THIS WILL BECOME ONE OF YOUR MOST POPULAR AND REQUESTED TUNES ON NEXUS RADIO.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE MENTION AND FOR YOUR BUSINESS. :)

Brian and Joey - thank you so much for sharing this goose bump song with us. Love the traditional way, reminds me of my 70's favorite, and the "fairground idea" is truly great. Including Joey's awesome parts, this one is just a gem. Thank you so much for sharing, friends :-)

Wonderful uptempo piece.
You could always a deliver a story Brian. Yes, Joe doing the rap interludes is a nice touch.
It's a shame I can't see you live. It would be wonderful to be sipping a beer soaking in your expression.

ProgRap?? Well, hey, that worked - brilliantly! This is such a different and wonderful song. Lot's of creativity with the lyrics and vocal treatments by both Brian and Joe...damn impressive. Without the info available on the song I never would've guessed this was the rapster in the song. Just excellent vocalizations all the way. Now, the music - fabulous setting for the vocals. The twists and turns of the song work perfectly and are played as such. Best of all they truly work with the storyline to progress and illustrate it. Appropriate instrumentation reinforces the music's ability to tell this story, and details and tight playing cement the deal. Mix and production superb. What can I say Brian? This is a great achievement in my book. It's brilliant, fresh and interesting. Truly inspired songwriting and performances. My new fave from you and an instant DL. Kudos and congrats! ~Blake

Hhmm liked that beat...kinda gives one the urge to dance and sing along. That organ/harmonica gives it a nice spirit and yeah I was anxious to hear The R's input. Worked out real well I should say. Loved your delivery loads especilly around 1:53 just before Mr R does his thing. Good one goes into my favs - enjoyed

Brian, no messin' this is an absolute gem in my book!
The the way you worked round having so many lyrics by having Rapster do his thing in the middle is innovative genious IMHO.
I love the song, .. it makes me smile throughout, especially being based on a true story.
Congrats all round
