Hi Shane, Love your sound. Very pleasant and with a tag of mystery. Love your voice too, I am also a fan of the use of keyboards and synth. Your pitch and delivery is just fine. Vocalists tend to be hard on themselves because it is their job to deliver the story while the music defines the groove. I am glad to have met you on IMS. I and believe everyone else involved with IMS agrees, that there is a comradery and unison on this site that My space and other sites tend to be detached from. I was introduced to this site by my drummer and I am so thankful, a great way to make friends of your own breed around the world. From Vancouver, BC Canada to where are you..I don't see it mentioned here, but wherever you are, it pretty cool to share with others this way. BTW Thank you for you comments on BAD BLOOD. We have just posted another song called"Child Gone Wild". Give it a listen and let me know what you think.

What a shame that I was not here long time. The Holy One - an outstanding piece of music with a great piano and synth part. And when the guitars starts - oh man, what a wonderful piece with your vocals - sung so sense. Phantastic work!

This is really nice ... and timeless. I love the changes, and I don't have a problem with your pitches at all. I think this is a complex piece, Dynamic. Nothing is present that doesn't serve a purpoise in this song. Fantastic piece of work.
My own spritual beliefs have undergone changes in recent years, but the story of Jesus Christ is an important one, and his life, death, and the things he espoused while on this earth should serve as a models for what we should be.
Well done. Rhanks for sharing.

Hi Shane, I don't think that "The Holy One" sounds dated. The same for the pitch - it's wonderful, with a great timbre and so soft - even reminds me a bit a Chris Rainbow. I love the message of the song, the variations after its transition to a pop song. Reverb - it was a trend to add much reverb in the earlier 90s, as people took it for granted later to compress everything. This song is a rich production with an awesome change of parts - a touch of Genesis - and a heavenly sound, another gem in my collection. Thank you, dear musical friend. Pascal

you have to be the most innovative and inspired songwriter i have heard. this could be split into 3 or 4 different songs, but you have made them freely flow one into another. who cares about the "verb". there will surely be someone who picks you up and backs you.

The lyrics is very true and it really comes from your heart. I love the guitar and piano arrangement. And your voice is amazing. Its good to hear a song like this from you my brother. Check out my song MY REDEEMER and tell me what you think. Thank you for sharing this. God bless.

THE HOLY ONE
ABOUT : I recorded this track 15 years ago. It was done in a small commercial studio, on a Fostex 8 track.
I was on a tight budget and the studio was costing £10 per hour- so,, there was no way to spend time with it to get things right. Plus,, my own ignorance and stubborness messed me up here, because i kept insisting to crank up the reverb on everything,, the vox, the piano, the guitar,, i wanted em all to be swimming in verb. The engineer tried to get me to ease up- but i thought everything was gonna be awesome with tons of reverb. Hence, that's one of the main things wrong with this end result.
I don't like the pitch of alot of my vocals here. To get the track done right, i would entirely scrap this old demo and re-do the wholoe thing.
However, i am posting it to celebrate the glorious event of the resurrection of Jesus Christ - Easter.
In this case, it is not the production or sound quality that matters. It is the lyrics. The song.
He Lives !! - and likewise, we shall all rise again in the resurrection.
