Can't add anything else to what's already been said, except for that I agree with every comment. You've created a very mellow tune here with some exceptionally smooth guitar work. Mix is pristine too.

Read the first review before I clicked "play" and I was anticipating something special... wow - wonderful guitar playing, the timing of those licks is excellent. I found the backing a litle bit of a disappointment though, to be honest - if you can play like that, I reckon you could give it some more interest in what goes underneath. But that guitar carries it in any case. Nice track, thanks, Chris

Very subtle with powerfull emotion, the way music should be. I can;t say enough for your playing and the vibe it projects on this track, very class. The patenice shown in your guitar soloing is what keeps this track intersting. Fantastic all the way. Surf.

I feel alot of desire to compliment this - that is my reaction hearing it. when you hear a peice of music, it seems to stir a feeling to either compliment, criticise , or dont care. well , this one is the first one,, gggrr .. gettin tongu tangled. The idea just dropped that , this kind of makes me think of The egles alot. also, thank you for hearing some of my tracks . shane

Actually, I got a real sense of The Beatles circa "Revolver" out of this, particularly the tight guitar work and harmonies. That is not in any way to suggest that the track is dated. I could listen to Revolver any time of day and have it sound as fresh as it did way back then. I've got a feeling this track could well have the same effect on me should I live to 2048. Classic pop rock song. Really well written with "catchy" feel all the way through. Lovely ensemble performance with everything in the right place to my ears. Plus it's a real toe-tapper. One of the best I've heard in here for some time. Great work. Congrats. Cheers Brian

Nice spread on your guitar tracks. If I had to create a genre for this song, it would be called "Drive-in movie theatre blues, with fry sauce". Great performance on the instruments and the vocals. Sounds like an all-around fun song to perform and record. Good job everyone.

Wow, great production and groove. Everything is coming thru so clear! And your guitar playing, great tone (I should say tones) and I love your melodic approach and the way you develop the melody. And a mixture of styles; jazz, fusion, some oriental, and a few country licks throw in for good measure. Very tasty. Frank

Well, this is a great track. I am pretty new here and am just finding my way about listening to everyones style. Anyway this is a lovely smooth piece with genuine good playing. No distortion to hide fluffed notes (like I do. LOL). I like the main melody and also the way it soars off at the end.

carlsefni (10 Mar 2008 11:46 AM)
I can only echo the spot-on comments from others: beautifully smooth vibe! The playing and production is most tasteful, with a variety of tones and melodies that keep one's interest engaged throughout (no easy task in guitar instrumentals) but without ever sounding forced. The changes are natural and flowing. Simply enchanting. :) Looking for _something_ to say in terms of constructive criticism, I thought you might sometimes actually bring out/up the central guitar melody lines a touch more in comparison with the rhythmy parts out on the "stereo wings" ... or maybe EQ some of the low end off the rhythm parts, which might have the same effect? I'm no mix-meister though! (As an added note, even without a dedicated "singer", you might try putting your own vocals on your former compositions with lyrics! :) Being in a similar situation -- as a former non-singing band member now concentrating on home recordings -- I'm still uncomfortable with hearing my own vox, but they've gotten a favourable reception from reviews (or at least weren't panned outright! ;)) so don't necessarily discount your on voice as another weapon in your home studio arsenal. Not that I'm minding this instrumental piece! :)

wow - first thing i notice , the killer interplay between the bass & drums , kik. damn ! super punchy. that is always nice for the foundation. the blusey jazzy playing is really laid back & chill. how many run throughs did you do ? i bet that was fun , just playing along with this one. lots of minor percussion that is goin on , that really nice . do i hear some "scratching" as well ? ha , ok , lets keep it contemporary eh ? i dunno how you play all those esoteric jazz chords , but i do envy you ! this is great , overall production is stellar ! tight & punchy. aka

wow - this is a cool song. i have alot of older lp`s , reminds me of something from the 70`s & i mean that in a good way , lol. the lyrics are heartfelt , honest & are obviously derived from "real" experience & that shines through in the music as well. love the irony bewteen the music & lyrics , the former being more upbeat & major , while the latter is more somber & reflective. great playing , production & arranging , you have been paying attention. will get to more for sure ! thanks for sharing aka`
