OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!! The playing is excellent but it's your composing skills that floored me.
Beautifully written work

Very well composed, played and mixed. I see you call it a work in progress. I think a vocal or a strong lead instrument would enhance it in places.

George, I wouldn't be normally looking in this genre for stuff I like, but wow, this is a little bit beyond what I consider as 'easy listening'. There is creativity and complexity in your music. I also think the production job is excellent. Wonderful surprise and talent here! ~Blake

Best wishes, all!

ok I have to start by saying this....I click on the play link and put my headphones on. I am hearing this odd song consisting of some Christmas song mixed in with something else. All on piano no less. So I am reading the reviews on the page and see piano comments but no one mentions anything about a Christmas song. It was then I realized I had two music streams going simultaneously. Let me tell you. Your song sounds soooo much better without the Christmas track mixed in :).
This is a fantastic tune! There is so much going on in this song. That bass line is hypnotic. The keys mixed in with the synth is brilliant.
Beautiful piece of work you have here.

Very pleasant. Nice keys.

oooh I like this, I'm hearing a very steady beat and rhythm with a wonderful melody appearing. A very spacious sound. a very inspiring piece!

Hi George, I have tried, in the past to link your music at Anubes, but could not connect to it. SO!!! This is the first I've heard your music. I REALLY like this piece. The piano theme is Fantastic. I am a total sucker for an acoustic piano and this song has hooked me. The bass lines are perfect.....melodic and filling, giving the song excellent flow. The beat is GREAT, the theme is GREAT......a definite new Fan.... :-)

I pretty much agree with the other reviews. Nice Easy Listening Instrumental tune.
Mix and production sound pretty good as well.
Good work.

NICE LAID BACK INSTRUMENTAL EASY LISTENING TRACK, WITH A FUNKY-LATIN PERCUSSION GROOVE. I LIKE THE PIANO MELODY: VERY NICE. MIX AND PRODUCTION ARE PRETTY GOOD AS WELL.
KEEP IT UP.

I liked this a lot. But I feel the lack of punch, mentioned by others, might be due to the reverb (present throughout the track). May I suggest the reverb be taken off the piano altogether as it only seems to detract from an otherwise excellent contribution from the piano. With less reverb this track might have more presence, and tweaking with the dynamics of a reverbed piano could wash the track out altogether. Good luck if you try a remix.

Great melody, George! Wow, very memorable. The drum and bass really drive this track along nicely. The changes are excellent, the phrases you've chose make a great impression. Nice synth textures, not overpowering the piano work, but adding another great layer to the mix.
Thanks for sharing this!
Peace,
Jim

Nice blend of the instruments here. I agree with reapersg that it needs a bit more punch, which is something you should be able to do through mastering. The parts are all there, and blended well. Don't muck with any of that.
I really, really, REALLY love the song and sound.
|
 |
its a great demo George, I can't hear anything I'd change. Its got a solid rhythm and the chord progression is really appealing to me. A pretty melody and the synth parts blend nicely.
Maybe mix it again and get some more volume and dynamics goin.

I like this kind of work. Nice piano-centric composition, tasteful and vibrant arrangement, plenty of movement with a good choice of complementary colours on the canvas! I too like a mix of electronic and acoustic sounds.

Another very interesting track...
I know how busy you are right now,and how makiing music is something you have to fit in when everything else has been done, all of which leads me to believe, knowing you as I do,that this is a work in progress.
For all that,it is a dazzling track, but I have a feeling you will return to this piece and somehow make it even better than it is now.
You are a remarkable composer mate, whatever else life brings you, never forget your music.
Nigel.

You've left me speechless. I loved it.

I think, this is a very original sounding track, I enjoy the development as much as reading a good story... My favorite moments is the agressive synth solo around 2 minutes. Mighty percussion, touching and quite authentic sounding strings. The arp is an interesting counterpoint, although I just would delete the section between 3:02 and 3:16 or build something else in it. Outro is great too, keeping the power, the piece doesn't have a single sticky moment, and that's just great :-)
|
 |
Very very nice. This is my kind of track. I could live without the arpeggiated synth, though. It seemed to pointlessly occupy space in the sound scape and perhaps sounded a little tired. May I make a suggestion ? If you were to substitute this arp' synth for something else; perhaps a repeated guitar note (electric, nylon strung) off to one side or the other of the stereo field. Or maybe a 'low in the mix' vocal (sung/spoken). Or even just left the arpeggiated synth out, after that, the track would (for me) be there.
Everything else in this track is superb. I do like it a lot. Well done.

I really enjoy your compositions. You create some wonderful aural landscapes and this one is no exception. Great feel, good dynamics - a rich and vibrant arrangement, great sounds and very well mixed! Great work! :)

A most interesting use of unique sounds to bring in alot of textural, along with the stringed synth. Like the overlapping of sounds, all seem to work together so well. Sounds like the shuffling of cards at a game table in a small pub somewhere in a village, where time passes by in its own meaningfullness. The world somehow passes by, even thought here is that tension here. Like the strings. Most well arranged. Lovely...superb artistry--fantastic production.
Your friend. -Vesa.

Beautiful & mysterious atmosphere. Love the synth's wavy sounds and most cool Fab percussives. Great vocal; wonderful.
Love the groove. Well arranged. It moves so smoothly; simply love your keyboard playing and all the fun subtle sounds to add texture.
SUPERB. Into my faves. HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
What a wonderous tune. Mezmerizing!!

listening--beautiful production--so clear and nice to my ears! KICKS IN NICELY-- would love to hear your vox up a hair in the mix!! so nice sounding--flows beautifully!! keyboards top notch!! solid beat!! very cool!!

A well-penned track with clean & professional production. Very good keyboard playing.
|
 |
very nice. I really like the hand drums at the beginning. good changes.
interesting scales. bass line glues it all together. I like the vocals being
in the mix and not way up front. makes it more dreamlike. also like the
looser live sound of the keys parts. can't hear much I would fix here.
maybe a little more side-to-side motion/panning?
good job

I have come to know George as an exceptional composer.
Also as a good friend who has helped me with production tips etcetera.
His compositions are always different, some very classical, others ,like this one, have a more contemporary feel.
Nice steady feel to this, you just know it is not going to anything untowards and wreck the groove.
The rhythm tracks are nice, the bass, super smooth.
Very nice arangement and production.
For my pennies,I would up that main vocal George,it is too good to leave in the mid background.
Other than that, which is most likely just personal preference.
Solid gold.
Nigel.

Love this, George! Such a great flowing arrangement, very easy on the psyche. Mellow but with a punch. You are a truly gifted young man!
Keep 'em coming!
Peace,
Jim
