I suppose I'm a bit of a musical nomad, searching for a genre to settle into. I write acoustic based tunes with touches of electonica as well as more experimental stuff, often instrumental. My music is always driven by melody and shifts from style to style with my many musical obsessions. I've played guitar for many years and create music under my name as well as with projects such as 'Lazy Mouse' (Check out the LAZY MOUSE page) I'm most influenced by the great tunesmiths such as Brian Wilson, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell etc as well as a lot of more current stuff : Josh Rouse, Wilco, Keren Ann, Bebel Gilberto, Mercury Rev etc. Finally there's a group of artists that seem to inhabit a wonderful, strange, experimental and melodic place that is probably my biggest current influence. Bands/ artists such as The High Llamas, Stereolab, Orwell, The Aluminium Group, Anthony Rochester, Modular etc; not too well known, sadly, but wonderful!
