    Default Vocal harmonizer ideas

OK I am dead stuck in writers block and think a new piece of kit might give me some new ideas.

I think my weak point right now is vocals (and lack of practice).

I was thinking about the TC-Helicon Voicetone-G XT but it is big time back ordered everywhere and pretty expensive for home use.

Note that I don't care about pitch correction so much as doing harmonies.

It seems like a good unit but Digitech has a unit out as well. There is no place I can go that ever has stuff like this in stock unless I want to drive 2 1/2-3 hours.

    Any ideas?

Problem is I don't have the range to do harmonies myself. Besides that would take the fun out of G.A.S.

i usually make copies of the same vocal ,throw them through a vocoder or similar fx then pitch them down or up to create harmonies or vocal chords ..hardware vocal units are always pricey ,,the software route is much better and theres loads of free vocoder or vocal fx knocking about ...i use fl 10`s vocodex which is mint ..but like i say theres loads of freebie stuff out there ..hope this helps you out

    Default Ideas

Vocals are difficult I would reccomend one of the computer based programs like in calkwalk they have others that are reletevly inexpensive that would do the job your looking for not too hard to understand for basics. Also there are videos on you tube dedicated to vocals just type in basic info and they will come up
