Mixposure

Well as you can see, we are back to where we started. After playing with the new layout for the last 3 weeks I have come to a couple of conclusions.

1. The current layout basically works! Maybe I am just tired of seeing it after 4 years of the same view/colors etc. It runs fast and let's face it, we all know where evrything is at. Gradual changes here are easier than multiple changes over night.

2. The new layout has more bells and whistles and truthfully was coming along nicely. The real fact of the matter is that it ran slower and had many defects which required developer intervention. The developer did a great job but the software corrections were not coming as quick as I would like. That put Mixposure in a bad position asking our members to deal with substandard surroundings.

For now I am going to keep it as is. Maybe a better idea would be to incorporate some of the new with the old vs the other way around. I would however like to change the colors of the main site. Since the artist pages are highly customizable, there is no reason to change those. I liked the Blue/Black combo of the new skin to be honest. It looked amazing on my laptop and my iMac. The colors just jumped out at you.

My apoplogies for the rough couple of days.

Todd

D - That has been there for some time. I think I retired some of the old players from the artist pages. In you artist > modify artist is a drop down menu with a few color schemes. We can always make more also.

My goal is to mod the existing and then create a secondary skin people can choose from. I am going to follow the blue/white format as well.

Cool!!!! :) My page looks like a page again. :) And I like the Red/Black player. Is that new? When you started doing the site changes, the player didn“t look like a player, and didn“t work either. The idea with changing the colors of the home page is great. Because honestly, I never liked the color scheme and look of the front page. It always looked old fashioned to me. And now after 4 yrs, it really looks old. lol I can see your reasoning for wanting to change things, but the pages on the new site looked terrible. Maybe just change the front page, and make it look more 2012. :)

What a relief? I visited a few times when you were going through the transition period and it was rather confusing to say the least.
I appreciate all the hard work you guys do to keep this site up and running.
As the song goes this site is "Simply the best"........thanks dylan.

Long as I can get here and stay in touch with my buddies here, I am happy with whatever you do, whenever you do it, Sir Dazed.

Mixposure rocks no matter the color scheme or roundness of the corners, from my perspective.
