This song is such a success because it's such a bloody good tune! Nice production, playing, live feel etc, but I'm still humming it, that's the main thing!! Richard John

Great live sound. It's a really good mix for a live performance. There is a real sense of joy in the performance. It's clear you guys enjoy playing together. Nice ensemble work and some lovely solo sections. Great vocals. Has an almost Van M vibe to it. Lovely work. Cheers Brian

When this opened up I was expecting a cover, The opening sequence is very familiar. But then the vocals came in and that made the piece for me. This is a very good little number. Thoroughly enjoyed this one well done

Nice original sound. Good natural vocals with an individual sound to them. A great live sound going on here, sounds nice and loose and free. Great track.

As said before, very cool and laid back.I do wonder at the lyrics. Very creative arty lyrics. Nice listen for sure. Dave Deal

Aww man... I was going to say it reminded me of the Dead... Okay, it reminds me of a tune from the Disturbed Un-Plugged CD! ;) Just kidding - I heard the Dead too. Not like you stole a Dead tune, but the effects you were using on the guitar and your phrasing reminded me of Gerry.

Very cool Song. Nice opening and like KOR said, I really got a Grateful Dead vibe from it as well!

Kinda of a Lou Reed quality. Really smooth mucsic and very well produced. Great guitar perfromance adn I really dig the laid back delivery of the strong lyrics. Great work! Mike K.

songs with zero reviews.. you new here? lol.. can't be because of a lack of quality.. this has a funkiness that i like.. up front and personal vocal mix with some tasty harmonies in the hook.. I like the guitar sounds and the solo has a unique tone.. inverted phased wah?.. lol.. cool laid back vibe and delivery.. good stuff bro.. cheers..

This has a definite Lou Reed feel, once the vocal kicks in. Reminds me a bit of stuff from his New York CD, actually. Still, I kind of like this -- maybe because I like that basic, raw, one-take kind of sound. At least it works here -- even the rough guitar playing that's on the edge of being both in and out of tune.

Simple, unadorned and unadulterated arrangement. Like "Lockdown" there is a definite Lou Reed kind of sound and feel to this song as well.

thanks all - just posted a Garage Band version of this tune...

the drummer is throwing in an extra kick in spots that sounds off. harp sounds great as do the vocals. would like to hear a studio version of this.

bluespckr (30 Dec 2007 09:23 PM)
Yeah, this is a bit rough. Not sure if the drums is with what the rest of y'all are doing. Judging by this, I'd say your strongest points are in the lyrics and vocal delivery, with the harp, I think. If this had more drive in the guitars and tighter bass/ drum to pump it along, it would be one hell of a rocker.

Thanks peter - yes, live recording, I think this came from our rehearsal space....i have a 'studio' version of this song some where (by studio version, I mean Garage Band...) Thanks for taking the time to listen!

Well I'm sitting here with a strong storm blowing in so this is an appropriate song. Live recording? If not you fooled me. Love the harp. Good vocals and lyrics. The organ solo started well but sort of fizzled out a bit.

Heard this on the Nexus radio show...Indeed this did remind me of a classic Lou toon...Laid back feel..and vocals delivered with much contentment. A very tasty guitar solo..sealed the deal. Enjoyed much! Thanks

TNT, this is pretty cool! Gettin a bit of Lou Reed in the vocals, the guitars set a nice backing for the melody.

Yeah -- The Lour Reed/New York thing came to mind listening to a couple of your tunes last night. I think you had this one on as a "live" gig track. Glad you found the studio version. So much better. I do enjoy that Lou vibe, though, but, yeah --- your vocals are better 'en Reed's. Nice song, strong lyrics. Good job.

Good track man.Like the story line of the lyric. Vocal delivery is a little bit Lou Reed-ish,but fits track nicely. Good tune man. Peace, Tsargoth

Hey! TNT!! Nice track.....Great to meet you at NEXUS Chat, last night. Yes, you are similar to Lou Reed, but a far better singer. I don't think it's the voice, but the phrasing....I don't know. Either way, I really enjoyed your playing, the song, and the lyrics. Sweet guitar pickin'.... Rob

Nice tune, laid back style, emotional well considered lyrics. A little bit of the band 'Lambchop', about the feel. Loved it.
