My Name is Steven L. Banasick... I've been a "Bar Crasher" for many years. From country music and blue grass to folk and Blues. I just enjoy playing and entertaining. Over the past two years I've done the local scene, private parties to the local wineries. Some I remember well and others not so much... It would seem that I managed to make it through the entire Genre list at one point or another... I do a lot of Writing and find great pleasure in wording out material. I do enjoy collaboration work with other artists and Have no issues with other performing my material.
I don't consider myself to be a very good guitar player and I never was considered to be a Voice... But, as long as those in attendance are laughing and happy,... That's good enough for me. Life has a way of catching up with you. And, it would seem that God and Time have a sense of humor. Sometimes, I look in the mirror and have to take a second glimpse of who it is looking back at me. I'm 56 years old, I am a statistic when it comes to marriage and even after 30 years of smoke filled bars, crowed halls and over packed patios...I still find myself having to pick up a pen and write before falling on to a good slumber.
Let's face it. Sooner or later, every one sees a little gray hair at one time or the other. Some more, some less. Thus is how, I got the tag name Another Color of Gray...
I beat on a Washburn 12 sting, and a Washburn 6 string. I also have been know to howl at the moon and bark out a tune. I've played the Harmonica since High School and Love to pick on my Gibson 6 string Banjo. The Oscar Schmidt Hollow Body Electric Guitar is more of a reminder that I'm getting old (after an Hour totin' that thing around... my back will chime in to remind me of my age). I haven't spent much time with my Fiddle, or on the Piano like I used to but you never know... (And I've learned), ...never say never.
