Girl In Denver C.M.C.

Jeremy Acker - Lap steel solo

Frank Northcutt - Drums

Farrell Jackson - Vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, harmonica, and electric whammy guitar.

Tome Hoelle - mastering.

I've had this country/crossover song idea in mind for a long while...I just didn't have the lyric fleshed out to match the mood and music of the song. The C.M.C has given me the motivation to get'er done so to speak. Once I started to write the words they just streamed out. After a few re-writes I had them done. The lyric is about that one lost love and regret I think some will relate to.....The Girl In Denver is the broken down and tired Rodeo Cowboy's reflection of his lost love and regret from 30 years ago.......one he'll never forget but always regret.............

My thanks go out to Jeremy Acker (Lap steel & my son-inlaw) and Frank Northcutt (drums) for helping me take the song to the next level. To The OCR Boys (Bob and Steve) for having the C.M.Contest and to Dazed for having such a great music site that fosters this kind of participation and friendship!

BTW, I had this song ready a week ago but went back to the mixing room after hearing how stiff the competiton was......Mixposure Artists rock!

Farrell Jackson
