It's there when you need it.

Treats ya like a good bone.

It sings a song when ya feed it.

She never lets you down and always brings me up.

It's my very best friend.

It's a real good pup.

We've traveled 'round the world.

Sang all kinds of tunes

on front porches at night, howlin' at the moon.

It's always on my knee.

It's always  there for me.

We've played with cool cats who had their doggies too.

nobody was alone and every doggie had a home.

We gave a job to a rat who passed around a kitty's hat.
