Dr. Tommie Brewster – Musician
I have been a musician all my life and cannot remember a time
when I didn’t play piano. I started before I was 4 years old
and studied classical music at the Royal Academy of Music
in London, playing several other instruments also.
Graduated as a Doctor of Music.
Proud to have been inducted into the USA Blues Hall of Fame
several years ago and to be a Professional member of the
British Academy of Songwriters.
Voted Female Blues Vocalist of the Year 2015 by the Independent
Each of my Blues Albums charted to #4 in the Blues/Roots Chart of USA
on release and I have been at #1 on Reverbnation now for 10 consective
My music is archived by the New Zealand goverment Heritage Trust as being of outstanding
cultural interest and achievement.
I have a catalog of original songs of around 500 now – with only a fraction of them released and it just goes on and on……………….. I write music in several genres and also have unreleased classical piano albums. I also produce spoken word with one album released and one more ready to be released.
I produce all my own music.
Following several years of desperate and life threatening ill health, I am now working on releasing the two blues albums which have been waiting for at least 2 years, plus another
spoken word album and a double album of mixed genre tracks.
I also have my own radio shows - Blues, World Music and Interviews which are syndicated
around the world - in the US/ UK/ Canada / New Zealand and South America.
Several of my videos have gained awards for creativity and content :
